i'm learning Unreal in college now and for awhile I've been putting it down thinking when i go into the industry i'm going to have to learn this all over again because no companies use these programs, holy shit was i wrong i had no idea that so many popular, mainstream, big hit games were made with unreal. Thank GOD i know Unreal, man i would've never have known Days Gone, Injustice and Gears of War were Unreal

Plus Unreal is branching into product visualization which means corporations. This opens the door wide open for many options beyond gaming. The ability to go back and forth between gaming and non-gaming companies will be a huge advantage for you.

A demo from Unreal 5 for ps5 just came out and it looks amazing. I would think a lot more games would be done by this engine. I do see your comment is 3 years old but fortnite which is one of the most popular games ( I don't care for it) but it's done by then as well!
