This video will be discussing the best used Lexus vehicles to buy and this is my own pragmatic opinion of course. I will also discuss a different way of buying cars that many in the automotive space don’t cover. I will link a used car buying video I did here: • Video
Save on a new car with AutoCompanion:
www.autocompanion.com/meynmot...
The two main used Lexus products I feature in this video include the Lexus ES and the Lexus RX. I chose these two cars because the maintenance and ownership costs are much lower than some of the other models in the lineup while still maintaining a high quality driving experience and interior. I also cover how to buy a new car through leasehackr and by utilizing the many excellent brokers that are on that platform to help making new car buying as easy and cost effective as possible. I am not paid by or advertising for leasehackr or any of the brokers on that platform.
Video Chapters:
00:00 - Best Used Lexus Models
07:12 - How To Buy a New Car Through Leasehackr
12:46 - Conclusion
Link with AutoCompanion is an affiliate link.

I have recently partnered with AutoCompanion after making this video so you can use my affiliate link to take $25-$50 off the Broker Fee by signing up here: www.autocompanion.com/meynmotorgroup you will also be supporting the channel since I will receive a small commission. You can also lease a used Lexus to save even more money or simply Finance or pay Cash to take advantage of the discounts. Let me know what car you buy.

Lexus CPO is probably best way to go and best value. I know someone last year who bought a 2017 ES 350 this way. Fully loaded. 15k, $25,000. First two or maybe four services included? Extended warranty. Luxurious and reliable, still relatively new, but not expensive.

You are spot on with your assessment. I like having a "fun car" and an SUV. Back in 2020, I purchased a low mileage 2016 (lease turn-in) Lexus RX350 (Luxury package) being sold at a Lexus Dealership as a CPO. Fair price after much haggling, I did a trade in plus cash, so I didn't have a payment. In hindsight, this RX has been one of the best, most reliable, comfortable and boring vehicles I've ever owned. It's still like brand new in 2024, with nearly 61K miles on it. I will probably keep it until the wheels fall off.

This year I’ve taken my 2010 RX on five road trips. It currently has 136,000 mil s on it. Those trips include three trips from Tampa to the Florida Keys and two trips to North Georgia. Even after 11 years my RX is a great car for taking a road trips. I laugh when people call them boring but that’s what makes them so comfortable for traveling is the smooth ride. My brother and my sister-in-law have driven my RX, as a matter fact, my sister-in-law has a 2017 RX 350 F-Sport, and they both comment how my car still drives like new😎

If you have a 2010 RX, change out the rubber oil cooler hose NOW. They switched to metal in 2011. It went out on ours after a 3 hour road trip and starved the engine for oil. It’s literally a $40 part and $200 fix. I traded it in for a 2012 GX460.

The 2010-2012 RX350 is smooth and precise as well... not sure how people think that car feels like a boat because it actually is pretty sharp and decently quick. Similar fuel economy to my 2018 BMW 530i and range, both have 18 or 19 gallon tanks. My 530i obviously drives better, it's a lot sportier but the Lexus is no slouch.

I recently purchased a 2015 Lexus ES 350 (luxury, premium pkg) with around 166k miles on it that was selling at $14k. Honestly I didn’t mind paying the money for a vehicle I know can last me to 300k miles if not longer since the majority of my driving is highway miles and what’s been put on it already obviously are highway miles as well. Honestly this car feels very well put together and there is a certain feeling of prestige that Lexus products have that I haven’t felt in other vehicles maybe with the exception of my 2017 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring (Premium package).

My Toyota Camry is an okay car, but I don't like it either. A lot of things randomly break out of nowhere, and the car still makes me nearly fall asleep driving home after a 12 hour shift. Lexus is the premium and higher end brand, a lot of them are still built in Japan so they have much better quality. I've never heard of anyone with a Lexus complain about anything breaking and they last forever. Great vehicles if you can afford to pay the premium for them.

Based on latest consumer report, the GX460 gets a score of 100% reliability. I have an older 470 that i bought in hopes of driving it for a few years. But i love it so much, its so quiet, versatile and beautiful condition that i cant part with it. I've wanted an RX for a couple years now and had the cash to buy slightly used. But dont need one and refuse to pay ransome $ to have. Nice condition 2015' fsports are going for low $30's here in mpls area. Craziness....

Lexus is my favorite car brand. It’s hard for me to look at other brands when Lexus has nearly everything in 1 plus the best reliability. Got a 07 Es a year ago with 85k highway miles on it because it was from Houston for only 7500. Basically a brand new car lol and I only average about 10k miles a year. Can easily hold onto her for 10+ years. Mind you she’s my first car lol

Compared to German cars, they lack the performance. As in, day and night... Which I guess creates reliability, and is fine in many cases. Their cars are heavy and underpowered compared to the competition. I say that as someone who really likes Lexus. Their cars are beautiful, well made, and extremely comfortable. I did a test drive of the RX and it was smooth like butter, the sound system was excellent too. The car was pretty damn slow though. I'm thinking that if I had another car, less practical, small and fast, that's fun to drive, then the RX could be great as a road trip / daily driver. But it certainly doesn't have everything, it strongly compromises by being sluggish... The ES 350 is a bit more lively, but doesn't come with AWD (I live in the North) and the ground clearance is a bit borderline anyway... I tried the ES250 AWD but while it's nice, it's still a 4 cyl and a bit slow too...
@AbsolutMassager
@AbsolutMassager 2 жыл бұрын
@@MrTresto you can have good performance and still be reliable. Many fast Porsches, the LFA, etc have high performance and relatively good reliability as compared to the Italian supercars. But as for daily reliability a Lexus IS best because why risk a LFA or Porsche 911 being hit on your daily commute, perhaps by a uninsured or underinsured motorist when you can save them for the weekending.

Thank you so much for your videos! As someone who knows nothing about cars I really appreciate your extensive knowledge and relatable approach. Your video on Mazda vehicles is one of the determining factors for my husband and I deciding on buying a cx-9. We are looking for one now…I know it’s not the best time but we have to, at this time. I also live in the Triangle area of NC and was wondering if you would recommend going to a Mazda dealership or somewhere else. Considering the massive markups and low inventory, what do you think our best bet would be to get the best deal we could? Thank you! 😊

I’m humbled I could help! CX-9 is a phenomenal choice such a well built vehicle. So capital Mazda in Cary is the dealership I’ve worked with that typically offers a decent deal and actually has inventory on hand. They are also an authorized Lincoln dealer so they are one of the more “premium” Mazda stores in our area. You can ask for Will Rodden and say Exhaust Sports Auto sent you. I don’t get anything out of it but I just want you to get the best deal possible and I think Will can help out. Good luck.

I just drove a friend's 2019 RX and I have to say I like the way mine drives better. At the gas station people walk up and comment on how grand the car looks. What kind of problems have I had absolutely none. I also have a 2009 ES350 with a 110000 miles and it is the smoothest driving car I have ever driven and problem free. Just added a 2010 Prius 5 To drive back-and-forth to work at 52 miles per gallon and totally comfortable. When I look at maintenance compared to my sister's newer large Mercedes S UV, My maintenance cost for all 3 cars is what she is paying for one.

Drove a Toyota for years and was always impressed with the mechanical quality. A hail storm destroyed my Camry and I’m looking for another one stumbled across a Lexus ES 350 at a reasonable price. I knew that the underpinnings were Toyota and saw the mechanical quality was there. But I was amazed to discover the amount of difference in ride quality between the Lexus and the Toyota. Both ride itself and the interior noise as well as the fit and finish of the Lexus are far superior. It is well worth the price difference, especially if you plan on driving them until they are dust as I do. Lol

I am currently considering used RX350. My wife's current daily is a 2013 Acura RDX. These two vehicles are quite similar, however, I think most would find the Lexus is a little more classy on the interior. The Acura 3.5 has a little bit higher mpg, due to the active displacement management, which the Lexus does not have. However, the RDX calls for premium fuel which adds cost to operation. Also the RDX has a timing belt that will need serviced every 60-100k, where the Toyota - sorry, Lexus has a timing chain (which should be practically service free with proper oil change intervals). Another costly maintenance item with both is the "unservicable" driveshafts, meaning, when the cv/u joints go bad you can't just change the u joint it self... you have to buy the whole driveshaft assembly - factory pricing on these are about $1500. There are a couple companies making replacement shafts for less than half of the dealership cost, search them out. Even though I am in the snow belt of western NY I am also probably going to go 2wd versions moving forward. Both of these are offered in front wheel drive versions. That means the weight is over the front wheels and are still very competent in light snow. The real danger in our area is not getting stuck but steering and stopping in really slick conditions... Neither of which awd helps you with. There is also a fuel savings by going only FWD. Just thought I'd offer my 2 cents. But those who know... The RX350 is one of the best vehicles on the road!

Everything is perfect on the Rx and the Es has just a few issues, these issues being the "chrome" around the door controls has began to wear off and the passenger seat in particular has cracked and split terribly for some reason? Beyond those things they are incredicly reliable, comfortable and luxurious day in and day out!! keeping these till they die. So maybe 10 more years!? haha
