There actually is a kid singing on the chorus of "Tear It Out"! It's my 10-year old niece!

Oh you like the Yellow Balloon? I have a few of their 45s, never have listened to the whole album. I have one Don Grady of "My Three Sons" fame 45. I think it pre-dates him joining Yellow Balloon. I need to wimp out for awhile and listen to the album.
@vinylrichie007Күн бұрын
Do you have the Yellow Balloon single where the b-side is the a-side played backwards.
Cool used pick ups of the year and The Ivory's is another for my want list.

Excellent finds Ritchie, more bands to discover for sure. I never see these in the wild around here for sure

There is a Vol. 2 of that Mummies series. I used to have all their records, including "Party At Steve's House," but "Never Been Caught" is by far their best.

Caught a Crucifucks show at the Satyricon in Portland Oregon back in the day. I had never heard of the band but their name on the marquee made me laugh so I went. Crazy days! Thanks for the memory. I think I still have Wisconsin in my collection.

Nice t-shirt. Like you, I had heard of the Crucifucks, but never heard their stuff. I'm sure Joaquim is all over them. I have that Mummies comp & Never Been Caught. I haven't seen Yellow Balloon & The Orient Express over here until they both were recently reissued. Good records. Mazzy should chip in to finance your box set collecting. He's seems to be doing alright.

The things you've picked up this year are nothing like the things I've picked up. I haven't managed to clear my in box this year so I'll struggle to do a roundup before new year.

I remember playing Wisconsin at a house party, and there was a trainee opera singer there. She listened for a while and then said: "Nobody who isn't a fantastic singer could be that evenly off key."

Richie, I’m like you. Retired and no money. I don’t do RSD. I’m too old, too lazy and too broke. So no new releases either unless I get some mad money or its my birthday or Christmas. :). Cheers

The Ivory album has it's moments. Vocally though, to me anyway, the singer has a kinda Slick/Joplin vibe to it, but too much Joplin for my ears. The Markley album could've been a WCPAEB album as they all appear on it. Apparently Markley had an eye for the younger girls, if ya know what I mean😉, which, I believe, got him into a little trouble with the boys in blue. The album's posted on KZbin.
