My best useless upgrade is the steel outer barrel for my WE SVD. The OEM one is aluminum, but really thick, there's no way in hell it's ever breaking or bending. The steel one only adds a lot of weight in the front (which is exactly the worst kind of weight), which got me into getting a CNC steel receiver as well. Now the gun weighs 50% more, and I gained absolutely nothing from it. Except _feeling_ as the added weight makes it feel much closer to the real gun

Thanks man .that was a good video .I am about to get my ambi on my lm4.and just thaught you should know that I'm glad that I didn't because I wouldn't of liked trigger finger side rubbing me .. thank you. Im going to order order little bit shorter on that side.It gives more accessibility quicker switching but the thing that botheres me is the non ambi mag catch I like to use my mag hand thumb sometimes and gotta flip it over on the table just to get the mag out when working you kno. 😅thank you

You can buy B.A.D. style safety levers for vfc ar platform, crusader makes them, just installed them on my 416. They already have the half cut lever. Although not really drop in for me, the detent pin snags on the pin holes on the selector. Crusaders also just released a 2 stage trigger for the ar platform, wonder if it's any good.

that's not a useless upgrade though, as it adds functionality, making use of your firing hand without having to let go of the pistol grip, makes mag changes a lot faster too with practice.

I have not stated it as useless. I got them for personal comfort, wich is a perfectly good reason to buy upgrade controls. And they look cool, wich is what it's all about right?😂

Hello Josef! I wish you could do a review with some "cheap" GBBR´s like the golden eagle M4... I live in a cold, windy, rainy place, nobody uses GBBR´s here because those guns struggles a lot during more than half of the year... even with pistols almost everybody i know uses co2, nobody with green gas, only mk23´s work well but really underpowered even using higher pressure gas than the red abby. I have felt that your opinions are honest and sincere, something difficult to find, that is why your opinion would be a great help. i dont want to spend like 500-700€ on a gun i will only be able to use a few months per year.

That's really unfortunate, but your best option is to HPA tap it or convert it to function with CO2 cartridges.

hey i saw your video from the croatioan island, in the video you had a double feed resulting in a full gas release of the mag. how do you fix this, coz you said in the video that u cant fix it in field, sometimes i have the same issue with my 416a5 and do not really know how to fix it.

I personally own WE XM177E2, so I do not do any "useless" upgrades to my rifle, since I wanna keep it in the Retro/Vietnam style. Also, great video. What is your personal opinion on WE XM177E2? Thanks for reply!

My personal best "useless" airsoft upgrade was the pistolgrip, going from the standard slim AK one to a Magpul MOE unit was a difference between night and day.... The gun became even more comfortable than any AR i've ever held, idk how much is the difference between repos and genuine magpul parts but that's the best 26€ i've ever spent in airsoft

I agree the pistol grip is also huge for me. I'm using IMI defence (20 EUR) for all my rifs. I don't think buying an expensive one makes you happier, copies are more than ok for airsoft. (even though IMI is not a copy)

@@JosefMucha100 what's your preferred pistol grip angle? The magpul K2 and BCM gunfighter pistol grip feel way better for me as they feel more natural when shouldering the rifle.

It's a useless upgrade on my AK, because I can get used to how thin a russian AK grip is and just prefer the magpul one. On my 416? Trying to hold that thing with one hand felt like my wrist was broken. I have no idea how HK decided that was a good grip angle for anything but shooting from prone.

@@Jeranhound the original grip angle the HK 416 came with was more akin to the standard A2 grip but it feels a lot more angled due to how it wraps around your hand. The new grips that came with the A4 and later the V2 grip with a steeper angle is a lot better for ergonomics, and the MOE K2 is king of comfort if you want a girthy grip. although the BCM gunfighter looks better.
