Thats great, im glad it was helpful for you. We can't get into fabricators for our custom canopy latches till early next month. We have booked weight safe in a couple of weeks to weigh our vehicle before we fit it out and get our new bar work so we know how much weight we have to play with. Then we can finaly get started on it.

Hey mate! Loved this video, TC boxes is great bang for buck I’ve had my TC boxes tray and canopy for 3 years now and I’m really rough with it lol. It’s seen a lot of mud puddles, dusty roads, rivers and even scrapped a few trees. It’s held up really well. I had whale tale locks fail. TC sent our replacements for free. The back drawer, gets a little dust in it but I left it unsealed. I also had the Jack off but my ford Ranger and tray (1800) have the bolts accessible. I built a false floor and just cut outs to access the bolts still. Overall, not much has failed. I also used insulation foam on the inside which reduced the temperature inside the canopy by 10 degrees

Thanks mate, we havent gotten to test ours on the tracks yet, but very impressed with it. We did a video getting our ute weighed, we will be looking into a GVM upgrade for ours now. cant wait to get it all fitted out and on the tracks 😎

Been waiting on mine since june but booked in next month, i went with the 1metre trundle drawer and an 80litre water tank behind it . Also getting the spare wheel to the right side and a ladder in the middle for rtt. Look forward to seeing some vids on the build🤙

We are wrapped with ours, other than the few little issues, we are going to get latches that go into the jack leg holes. Got it weighed this week, bit shocked how little we have left with weight. Have to adjust the way we are going to fit it out, but hoping to still get everything in there that we want. It took a while to get ours, but its worth the weight. How are you fitting yours out?

keep an eye on the piano hinge with dust & sand, my Bull one on the psgr side basically seized up overtime, also go easy with the door closing with just the one hinge, it takes all the strain from the two struts when closing.

I got the TC 1 meter half canopy for my Navara. Paid way less than market value “new” but second hand on marketplace. Very happy with the build quality and design of it, especially for what I paid for it.

Yet to see a bd review on the TC canopies based on their price point. Looking to buy a canopy within the next few weeks and still shopping around to narrow down the options. Appreciate your time and content. Cheers. ps: if you haven't yet filled the holes from the TC badge, you might want to consider aluminium brazing to fill them. Cheap and easy to do considering the small diametre needing to be filled

Suggest you line the draws with rubber sheet and maybe the canopy as well, would be nice to have the top of canopy hold down bolts flush with the floor

How do you find there canopy? There were a few people coming and going on the day, a great guy by the name of Doc was the one kind enough to let us film there. He was a real caracter and gentleman, though i think a few of the stories he was telling us may have been slightly stretched 😁

Good job & review mate. Another issue to consider with having ur mounting bolts inside like that, is if u want to put in a false floor at some time to fit slide out drawers, etc, it could be a problem. TFS. Cheers

Thanks mate....yeah it certainly isnt ideal, getting some custome latches for the sides made up.. once we get them we can finally get started on the fit out.. getting it weighed next week so we know how much weight we have to play with. It all starts adding up quickly with everything we want

I got a similar package for my triton. I need to remove the mudguards and fuel filler to get to the canopy bolts. Pain in the arse!!

We have to do the same, along with the toolboxes. Im pretty disapointed with the way they did it seeing its a jack off canopy, seems a bit thoughtless . Getting custom latches made up, then we can finally start the fit out. Getting the ute weighed this break so we know how much weight we have to play with

Use rivnuts (that’s what we call them in uk) and it puts a rivet with a thread so you bolt into that for the lift off box

We call them rivnuts aswell, not recommended for strength reasons here with the conditions of our tracks, weight and corrugations. Was something i asked the fabricator who is doing our work. Thanks for the advise though mate, cool to here our video being watched over there 😊👍

I saw a TC-Box on a Ranger Wildtrak with the Sabre (gold) color coded doors to match and thought i have to get one and at 15K was good price for a premade box. But im in no hurry at the moment.

I never gave it a thought till after purchase unfortunately.. never towed anything heavy or had a proper touring set up before so never had to worry about it. But have since and with these older vehicles you can only go 10% increase in gvm.. doesnt matter what mods you do, thats max.

Get your jack off legs from APB Boxes instead. They are the exact same legs and last time I checked are $300 cheaper. With the holes from removing the TC Boxes badge maybe wrap the canopy first and then put your own custom badge over the top to make use of the holes without having to fill and sand and stuff about too much

Thanks for the great advice, ive already gotten my jack legs unfortunately... thats a big price difference, good to know though. 👍 I was talking to a guy about wrapping my canopy doors a few days ago, and he said that the holes wont show up through the wrap. I will just have to glue something behind them so air pushing through the holes wont cause air bubles in the wrap. Hoping to get it done soon with our logo on it. I think the colour coded doors look 💯 better

Im taking them out and getting canopy latches made up, its currently in the shop getting roof rack made and latches installed. had to remove boxes and mud guards to remove the bolts. I will be doing a video on it as soon as we get it back

it is a nice build BUT, you are putting the spare wheel and 2 x 20 ltr fuel or water tanks on the rear, plus the rear underneath, so this isn't built for towing a van obviously.

No, we won't be towing a van, just the roof top tent and possibly a camper trailer for the boys on bigger trips. Its also why i got the shorter canopy so it wasn't hanging that weight even further back. Then when i get the bar work done i will be getting the chassis strengthened at the same time, the pre-fab plates are cheap insurance not to turn it into a banana. I seen someone else was a victim to this on Fraser recently😔 Our next video i will be getting it weighed so i know exactly what weight i have to play with when im fitting it out. It all ads up quickly.
