I inherited my grandfathers 1960's Memovox many years ago and just put it away in a drawer not knowing what it was. Thanks for enlightening me on what a special watch it is. my son will be next in line and I will certainly educate him on it's history thanks to you.

Thank you for this very informative video. I'm the proud owner of my late father's 18k gold JL Memovox from 1953. I had it fully restored&reserviced by the JL vintage department in Le Sentier, Switserland in 2020. Cost me a lot but I think it was worth the investment. It has the original P489/I calibre and movement with reference 789979. Now that it has been serviced, I hope to enjoy it for many years to come and to pass it on to my son. Hope to see the day when the watch becomes a century old.

I’m a fan of all LeCoultre watches, very well made, very high quality. Should be serviced about every 3 years if worn regularly. If you take care of it properly, it will last you a lifetime and then some! Great informative video. As a professional watchmaker, I enjoyed your video also. Thanks for sharing.

Very informative video, thanks! If you could only have one JLC which would you choose, a memovox or a reverso?

I think I would go for the Memovox. It fits what I like in watches more. Either choice is a great one! Which would you choose?

So it looks like one of the crowns is a replacement. It isn’t signed. So there has probably been some work done on it

It's so hard to find these watches in good condition though. Is there value in something that is hard to find then?
@LifeontheWrist5 жыл бұрын
That’s an interesting way to look at it. I think value could also speak about the time that you spend looking for a good quality memovox. The time you spend researching JLC is invaluable in your watch journey because of how great a manufacture JLC is
