This is my 2nd MSI laptop and you just can't beat the value for your money with MSI compared to other manufacturers. Can play games at max settings at 4k no problems. Laptop fan is loud but that expected based on cpu and gpu workload. The Laptop screen is 1920x1080 so that's the only disadvantage of this model. I use a monitor so it doesn't bother me.

Can you please let me know how your experience has been with this laptop? I was planning to buy it, mainly due to the price point. Other laptops with the same config are all over 3000$. From some of the comments I read from another KZbin channel who reviewed this laptop (the version with 13950hx and not 12900) it seems people aren't happy with it mainly due to the loud fan noise and other issues. I have also read somewhere that the screen of this laptop isn't great either, with poor colour reproduction, making colours look unsaturated or washed out. So, now I am skeptical about buying this laptop. But again at this point, I can't afford to buy anything for over 3000$.

@@twigcapra. Fantastic screen and colour accuracy, amazing performance and cooling, and runs really fast. Only issues I faced was with the Windows 11 configuration which limited the internet speed in some apps but turned off that setting and now it's the perfect gaming/work station machine.

Laptop is great and can handle anything however it does have quite a bit of problems with overheating. Im using it for aprox. half a year and i had to turn off the turbo boost which created the overheating problems. I plan to repaste it completely next month and see if it makes a difference.

That SD Card reader is SDexpress on these things. Its new SD tech that is like a hybrid of SD+PCIe.... Bringing your laptop closer to plug-n-play cartridge style SSD-like removable storage. Might not be as fast as Xbox's SSDs but getting there.

Mě při super battery módu s 60Hz obnovovací frekvencí, polovičním jasem na integrované grafice vydrží notebook 5 hodin úplně v klidu (zbylo mi ještě 28% baterie). Myslím si, že se tak notebook dá úplně v klidu používat na činnosti, které jsi zmínil ve svém komentáři. Ještě je v notebooku plno jiných nastavení, která můžeš zapnout/vypnout pro prodloužení výdrže.

I picked one of these up myself but after testing, it went straight back. I also noticed even with tweaking settings and the temperature under control that the gpu would never pull anywhere near the rated 175 watts msi has on their website....which drives me crazy. With the cooling this machine has it should be able to comfortably hit 175 on the gpu and 55 watts on the cpu. Seems like ether msi is lying, or they have done something funky with the power delivery in this machine. I know it can perform better than it is, but with the underwhelming power draw Its a no go for me.

No one buy this laptop unless you play with headphones on. The second the CPU or GPU reaches 75C fan speeds jump to 100% and there's no way to disable that behavior. The only "solution" is to play on low graphics, cap fps to 30-60 and limit the GPU and CPU clock speeds as much as possible. Thank you 1gb bloated MSI software that doesn't even do its job.

Never support a company that doesn’t bother to optimize their games. 200 fps on cyberpunk and barely able to hold 90 in hogwarts is so pathetic. This game and Jedi survivor deserve to be in the hall of shame for how shitty they were optimized.

Unbelievable my ram was 5600 MHz I don’t really understand why was inside 5600mhz ram I upgraded to 32gb 4800 MHz cruicar

Hope to buy a gaming laptop next year, looking for a 12gb Graphic card, RTX 4080 sounds cool, I9 processor and a 32gb DDR 5 memory card 5600mhz. but it will have to wait this MSI is just the thing that would do the thing. .
