BEST VCRs - Comparing VHS players of the 80s and 90s | part 3

Today I have 4 VCRs for comparison:
Philips VR253/55 VCR
JVC HR-P7A
NEC N9034
Toshiba V-E31R
I love these VCRs. They are all special in their own way. The NEC VCR is very large and old (1987). There are a lot of details inside, it is very heavy and beautiful. JVC is small and so compact, perfect for small bedrooms (an audience suggested this to me). Philips is a truly reliable and time-tested VCR. Toshiba is a modern model produced in 2004. It's not particularly reliable, but it does look modern and is a great comparison to older players.

I'm from Ukraine and couldn't quite understand what "mode switch" means (since I don't know English well). Now I understand what you are talking about. We call "mode switch" simply "programmer" or "software gear". Thanks for the comment!
