Best Video Export Settings for Blender

I've done all the tests so you don't have to. This is the best video export setting for Blender 3.2 and above.

for some reason the exported video render has alot of artifacts and banding issues while in blender as i am watching it render it does not have any of thoose issues

"Color issues" with other format's? PNG image sequences or lower compressed formats will render colors as they are suppose to for more flexibility in color grading. Cameras that record RAW, LOG or ProRes video have the same image without grading compared to your typical compressed file with a baked in color science.

yeah. png sequence is also good, but personally with dropbox/drive I don't like dealing with thousands of files syncing all the time. I also don't like dealing with combining the png's to create the video. To me this method best serves my needs. I guess I should've mentioned the caveats though.

​@@RobbieTilton , i totally get it. There is really no need for PNG sequence if you can match the projects color profile close enough to the footage you are compositing it to. That's what I would do at least when exporting from Blender or UE5 and importing over to Resolve.

my quality is really crisp on my video renders but for some reason when i move around in the video ( i recorded myself on a green screen and removed it) the video starts to stutter like it is skipping frames or some shit. Could this be because i rendered it in a smaller resolution?

​@@luten4824 oh. now i understand your original question. this is for video export. png sequence would force you to open it into another program to turn it into an mp4. and most ppl ultimately need an mp4 to post somewhere on the internet. Why not just do the video export directly from blender and you can choose 'perceptually lossless' under the mpeg4 setting if you want it as perfect as the pngs. Ultimately when you turn it to an mp4 you'll likely choose some compression on the output to not have massive file-sizes anyways. i prefer to go straight to mp4 via blender and not deal with another program like AE or Ressolve. This also is easier to sync than multi-png sequences via dropbox or google drive.

Sorry... But "the best" for what? If I process a 10-bit video in Blender or I have an intricate architectural scene with sky and shadows, trees and etc... then will these setting be "the best"? Are you sure?

it's the best to quickly export a high quality video. it's the only video export i use after a decade of using 3d programs. If u want the most ultra high quality you'll want to do a png sequence but then you'll need to use another program to stitch it into a video codec. I think this is a waste of time as 99.99% of work is posted/streamed online and isn't seen in IMAX 8k.
