As a 70 yr old grannie with osteoarthritis (hips and knees)I live vicariously through your videos. I was always a great walker till about 5 years ago when the old hip started to give me trouble. Keep the videos coming, I look forward to them!

I often think I’ll watch these when I’m less able to get out. So glad to bring you on the journey and you can experience these different places. Thanks for commenting and being a great encouragement 👍🇬🇧😄

Nice video again my friend. Whitstable being my home town, I have walked that section a few times. I did a wantsum walk earlier this year from reculver towards Birchington and then doubling back vie the Wantsum channel path. Worth a try sometime. Thanks for sharing. ATB jim

Hi Jim thanks pleased you liked my walk through your back yard 👍. I have walked the Saxon Shore Way where it heads over to Upstreet and Minster but it’s really hard to get too using public transport. The hardest part in that respect of the whole 160 miles. I must check out the Wantsum Walk - one for the future. 👍

This is a lovely coastal walk through two traditional seaside towns. It is part of the Saxon Shore Way. Have you tried this or can you recommend any other good walks?

I love Whitstable but never walked over to Herne Bay and Reculver Castle (used the car instead) - definately going to plan this lovely walk hopefully in the next few weeks. Thank you so much for sharing this trip - its going to be fun seeing if we can cover the same miles as you.

That’s great Julie. It is well worth it and there are place to stop to eat. You could also start in Herne Bay and walk the 3 miles to Reculver and back. Thanks for watching and let me know how you get on👍😄

Reculver does not have a castle. The towers are the remains of a Church that was built within the plan of the Roman fort of Regulbium

Thanks Bill - some of these towns were destroyed in the 60’s but there are some Victorian houses in Herne Bay which are nice.
