I think $20k is still a lot for most people. Not everyone can afford to spend that much on a watch or they may just not want to. I think an Omega or a Tudor is probably the best value for a great watch at an affordable price. If you want Rolex, you can never go wrong with a Submariner at $10k and you can probably get one new from an AD at retail if you are a little patient. You will never lose money on that watch and it is a great watch at a more affordable price and it will be a brand new, modern Rolex!

Definitely agree on the Submariner. I love the classic no date. I think this is a stunning timepiece. Omega is also a great brand. The Constellation / Globemaster in the Omega lineup is an underrated one.

If someone answer this question for me I'm new to the watch game how in the hell can somebody spend thousands of dollars on a watch that is stainless steel if you go and melt this down and you want to sell it for scrap you're not going to get nothing also on the gold rolexes there was a gentleman who melted it down I mean who took it apart and took it to a jeweler who buys gold and he only offered him like 5,500 for the thing and the watch is like in the $30,000 range to me that is not a good investment who the hell is going to spend $30,000 and then you take the watch apart you try to sell it as scrap and you get in a little bit under $6,000 that's unheard of and he's stainless steel watches it's ridiculous stainless steel is stainless steel why are they charging exuberant amounts of money for a stainless steel watch can someone help me
