I'm also researching the same: 1. As I have municipal water and the TDS level is below 200, UV + UF is recommended compared to RO which would reduce the TDS level drastically eliminating all the essential minerals. 2. Any UV + UF filter with a stainless steel tank is recommended rather than a plastic tank despite it being food grade plastic 3. Copper infused water is not good on a daily basis in the long run as per WHO. Ideally we are not supposed to drink more than around 7 glasses of copper infused water per day to avoid health issues in the long run. 4. The only option I got with the above factors i.e. UV + UF + Stainless steel tank + no copper infusion model is LG uv uf water purifier. Rest all options have missed either of these criteria. 5. One problem with UV UF filter is this can't be used for borewell or ground water. We should resort to other alternatives on the days when the municipal water is stopped or mixed with ground water.

Superb comparison. Copper is abundent in nature and it can not be measured in our body with blood test and only with hair test. Excess intake can be toxic.

1:15 very handy information , it is better to test Water Quality and contents. I was looking for exactly this information, when do I need to pick RO over UV-UF even though TDS is between 200-250 ppm. Company representatives just look at TDS levels and recommend the water purifiers. Indefinitely they recommend RO even if TDS level is just 1 point above 200 because of sales and money factor.

Called Eureka forbes customer service many times. Wouldn't come and change the filter.. We stopped using the filter. It has the copper tech and ever since we fitted it we have had strange medical issues like anemia, joint pains etc. Such a costly mistake fitting it.

Hi Gowtham, for borewell, yes. For corporation - depends on the TDS. But if it is being mixed, it's OK to use this one. Still check your TDS and ensure it does not go too low.

It's good for consumption. Your water is good taste only & needs only UV- UF filter provision only for further disinfection. Doesn't need purifier with Copper & zinc. There's no need to increase further increase of TDS & also increasing further not at all possible.
