We're switching from RO after 10 years and sure about UF as it will remove most impurities and heavy metals. The thing I'm concerned in our area is high amount of chloride and fluoride which is very bad for health specially bones and teeth. RO is life saver and makes difference of day & night. I'm going to arrange outside Pre Filter~Inline Sediment Filter~UF~Carbon~UV and then will test it against replacing RO with UF. Remind me to update and give valuable suggestions.

Only, the problem for the people who doesn't have own house, they are recommended to buy RO system as they keep moving places and never know the TDS count where they are moving to. You will not get the municipal water everywhere. So, people with permanent homes may follow the guidelines offered in this video but not for the people moving around everywhere. Biseri actually adds minerals and keeps its TDS at around 100 (your TDS meter might have some error), but you can still observe that it has much higher TDS than other packaged drinking waters

It is nice to see that somebody giving basic and best info about such products. Kudos to you Vivek. One thing I want to ask you that we get water supply from local municipal corporation but the water quality is not good and we get contaminated or unfiltered water daily and during monsoon it is worse. So to clean water we used alum for a drum of 300 ltrs to extract dirt to get clean water. Pls let me know if I should use alum on daily basis or not to clean water. Does daily usage of alum have any side effects on body as we used it for drinking & cooking post water filtration thru UV water purifier?

I live in Bangalore. I drank tap water for some time. TDS 500. hardness 208, PH-8.2!!. It was fine. But I observed that on few days I had headache which signalled that a recent lifestyle change was not right. The issue was tap water. Not sure what was wrong, but would like to switch back to drinking tap water. An input would be good.

Hello FitTuber: Can you please do a video for users who wanted to transition (living in an area where the potable water levels are within acceptable TDS levels) from RO to UV+UF? We have been drinking RO for the past FIFTEEN years without knowing the damage we were doing to ourselves and wanted to transition. But, have been advised that it will be hard on the throat. Can you please do a video or point me to a resource which will educate me about: 1) Problems/issues that I will have to live with as we transition from RO to UV+UF 2) Medication that I will have to keep handy (natural) 3) Are there any ways for us to maintain the PH balance of the water? CLAY POTs can be used in summer to maintain and manage the balance. However, what can be done during Winter and Rainy seasons 4) Any other points you deem as appropriate. Thanks.

We're switching from RO after 10 years and sure about UF as it will remove most impurities and heavy metals. The thing I'm concerned in our area is high amount of chloride and fluoride which is very bad for health specially bones and teeth. RO is life saver and makes difference of day & night. I'm going to arrange outside Pre Filter~Inline Sediment Filter~UF~Carbon~UV and then will test it against replacing RO with UF. Remind me to update and give valuable suggestions.

I agree with you but not 100% true. Because municipal water has tds range of 300ppm but rich in alkalinity and they will use Bliching to clean storages. Better is to use SEDIMENT + CARBON + UF before drinking. So that water will be chlorine free dust free and bacteria free.

But when I checked the specifications, I read that it purifies the water if the TDS is maximum of 700. Currently my water TDS is 671. @@ph6263 Yes you need to know all are worst. All are prepared in Palm oil(worst refined oil ). The biscuits and namkeens are also made by the same oil(patanjali is not an exception). But if you are like you can't live without them then(these are also not healthy):- 1.Natkhat(Whole wheat). 2.Crax Curls(Corn Flour). 3.Patanjali Nariyal(whole wheat +Coconut). If you want some real and healthy than :- 1.Organic biscuits made up of jaggery and dry fruits. 2.Besan flakes made at home in coconut oil (very tasty).
