I’ve used this method myself. Pro tip: buy longer pants and blouse them as low as possible without getting yelled at. Then you won’t be a nerd with high ass bloused boots 😆

Cut the blousing strings out then put the elastic blousing straps in. Crimp the hook end together. Never mess with it again.

If you lace the boot laces back through from the front inwards on the top holes, then tie the knit, you can stuff the ends inside your boots easier.

No joe just tie the blouse bands at the bottom. Blousing your boots is an after thought not a fashion statement. You don’t even polish boots anymore. In AIT n the last bit of 04 was the last of the BDU era then we went to Desert Combat Uni for OIF 3 and then it was that digital shiz

In Spain I've seen some army soldiers that used a kind of black elastic straps to fix the pant to the leg over the boot. It is common to see this but I've never liked it because the pants look very fitted. Is useful to walk in silence mostly if you're using another two straps to fix the pant over the knee. We use to do this in some cases but in the spanish marines (infanteria de marina) we like tonwear the pants more...baggy in the day by day.

In the British Army we use elastics with small hooks. In the field I usually left my trousers loose.
