Be careful if you have TINTED windows! Glass cleaners (especially those with ammonia) can damage the tint. You're better off just making your own window-cleaning solution for both tinted and non-tinted windows: 1) an empty spray bottle, 2) a couple of drops of baby shampoo (or a very gentle dish soap), 3) two tablespoons of 91% Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol, 4) fill the rest of the way with distilled water. Less steps than the method you suggest in this video, and safe for window tint. Spray solution on a microfiber cloth, wash window, buff clean with a dry microfiber cloth.

Another thing to use 91% alcohol on is, by putting about 1/4 bottle in your windshield wiper solution. In wintery freezing weather it will keep your wiper lines from freezing up. I’ve been in weather in the teens, Ice all over my car, but I can use my wiper blades no problem.

Alcohol can break down tint as well if using a lot. Best is plain soapy water and a rag. No paper towels. Newspaper was the best back in the day for no streaks and cleaning the windows but you can’t hardly find good old newspapers anymore

Great video, and does work. But, under no circumstances use Windex or any other blue household glass cleaner. They all contain ammonia, unless stated ammonia free, stick to a good auto window cleaner, ammonia a complete no no for car windows. It attacks the rubbers and seals, and will destroy after factory installed tint. If you have tint, get a tint compatible glass cleaner from an auto shop/supplier. You can even buy it in bulk concentrate and mix your own in a spray bottle, works out very cheap. But NO ammonia. Take care.✌

@@terristoddard1 I can help you make your own that is guaranteed completely safe. Get yourself a good spray bottle, some distilled water and some baby shampoo. Mix 15 mil or 1 tablespoon on baby shampoo for every 600 mil/20 fluid ounces together in the spray bottle. Guaranteed safe and works. But make sure you use good microfibre towels. I use one with 500gsm that has a thick soft side and a thinner nap on the other side. Spray the cleaner onto the thick side and clean a section of the windows, eg. driver side window. then dry with the thin nap side, will clean but not streak, use a clean section of the microfibre for each window, inside and out. When done polish with a widow specific microfibre cloth. This method is so much cheaper than buying stuff all the time and works, safe and no streaking.

If the cars a non-smoker, you can use 50/50 solution of distilled water + isoprophyl alcohol to clean the windows, you dont really need a glass cleaner. The fingerprints and the haze is oils and grease from bodily odors like from breath. If you smoke cigarettes or vape then you might need a cleaner. I have cleaned my car windows with water + alcohol for 10 years now, crystal clear windows and they are not fogging up.

this method is acceptable on class, it is NOT acceptable on tinted glass sheet, the paper towel will cause micro scratches that compound over time )you wont' see it instantly, but eventually you will) and the iso can damage some types of tint film.

I use a small amount of Dawn dishwashing soap mixed with water for my regular cleaner, then do a "coat" of the Alcohol mixed 50% with water. Cleans my filthy windows right up!
