Excellent Captain, caring for his customer's catch! The little amount of "saltwater" that enters the freezer bag, protects the fish from oxygen, preventing freezer burn!!!

It would fill the space with water when you submerge it (hence the bubbles escaping the bag) but it doesn’t balloon out because you zip it before you lift it out

Try filling a bag up by submerging it, it just collapses

Ya I tried freezing fish w In a freezer bag with water so their wouldn't be any air. Taste was not good when I unfroze it

What is the brine you use to soak the fish before locking the bag?

brine is just saltwater. All you do is pour salt into the ice water bucket and stir it around. BOOM. Got your brine. That’s literally all “brine” is.
