Best way to get Legendries in Fallout 76

Do NOT waste your scrip buying random legendarys, if you want something specific, buy modules only and re roll the weapon or armor you ACTUALLY want. Very common new/inexperienced player mistake to buy the random legendarys.

Agreed. You can either use the modules to create legendary weapons you're seeking or to sell. If selling, weapons such as Fixers, Handmades, Grenade Launchers, 50 cals, and such sell well. Even if they get poor rolls they still have value.

The best way to get legendary weapons and armor to turn in for scrip is by doing the Eviction Notice event and shoot everything you see. If done well, you can walk away from the event with 30+ new legendary items. The second best method is by running expeditions. You get five per expedition as a reward. Don't spend your scrip on the random items. Just buy legendary modules. That way you can keep the weapon or armor you want and only have to worry about the legendary effects being random instead of the entire item. What good is a legendary knife when you have a big gun build?

Very true, much better to get the modules and roll on the weapon you want to use instead of getting random ones at the rusty pick, always buy the modules with my script

Yes, Eviction Notice is a must for obtaining legendary weapons/armor. And destroy all the meat bags ASAP. It increases the number of 3 star legendary super mutants that spawn during the event.

dont waste the scrip at the vendor instead buy the modules and roll the effect on the weapon you want at a crafting bench as better over all

You can absolutely do that if you'd like, however I meant this more for the new players that have been starting out in the game and may not know how to obtain them and trade them in. Once established with a good build then this should be the case

You can, but dropped weapons/armor when picked up level to the player picking them up. So newbies can only use them to scrap for script. However, I will drop high weight and/or low star legendary items at the rusty pick when I've reached my trade in limit for the day.
