WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO LIVE LONGER & DEFY AGING? By treating mitochondrial dysfunction and boosting mitochondrial health. In this video, I’ll walk you through everything you need to do increase mitochondrial health and cellular function.
Mitochondrial dysfunction is reversible…if you catch it soon enough. Tune-up your mitochondria with the tools you’ll get in this video to crank up the “powerhouse” of the cells. Health mitochondria provide the body with ATP, the chemical energy that drives every function in your body. A source of almost all chronic diseases can be traced back to dysfunctional mitochondria.
This is the final video in a series on mitochondria. Previous videos cover what mitochondria are and the impact of mitochondrial dysfunction as we age. Links to those videos can be found below.

I am using natural health products which improve mitochondrial health like nothing else. It feeds cells with oxygen and regenerates the cells. And can be used both internally and externally. The man who invented the products had had a stroke and could not walk and was paralyzed for several months. Only after a few weeks of using the products he got better and now he looks much younger than his age.

Thanks for this video Lance - very useful. I contracted tinnitus and hyperacusis a while back and am currently going through the online course Triumph over Tinnitus 3.0 created by Liam Boehm which covers the things you mention in this video - or some of them at least. Liam explains that the root cause of tinnitus is metabolic disorder and mitochondrial dysfunction, and there are some great course testimonials confirming this to be the case. Please can you expand on the 'detox' part as to what I should do? The course covers Andreas Moritz's liver and gallbladder flush method or the use of the chanca piedra (stonebreaker) supplement as an alternative, but I don't know if you're referring to the same thing. Many thanks.

I don't believe the importance of the mitochondria can be overstated. They play a primary role in every system of the body. Almost no person will eat what they need to maintain health. I strongly encourage everyone to get at least a pretty good idea of what nutrients we are actually getting from the food we actually eat. Everyone should be watchful of personal sensitivities and interactions with medication or other supplements. I think it's important to remember that 100% of what we need is plenty because too much will cause many of the same problems as too little and some different problems also. I've just decided that I'm going to do the HIIT program after having thought that getting out of breath so easy was telling me I should take it easy. I've decided that I can do the main idea of getting out breath and then resting till I catch my breath and repeating for 20 minutes a day. I decided to make sure I eat 30 minutes before so my mitochondria has the fuel available to operate as I'm a bit on the thin side. I'm going to start out doing it for five minutes at a time for a day or two and then increase by 5 minutes and then do two 10 minutes a day and then the ideal of one 20 minute session. I had a few things checked like cholesterol, blood pressure, and stethoscope which gives me reason to believe there's better than a 50% chance my health is good enough for strenuous exercise. In closing, I think we should really consider dissolving our for profit health care system and replace it with a for patient system. Our FDA functions more like a PR firm for the systems they are supposed to oversee and a watchdog against any system that might offer better alternatives. Our health care system is immoral in it's objectives. Our society would rather pay celebrities to sell us our healthcare rather than just give everyone what they need from the beginning point of view of what is best for the patient rather than profits for shareholders which can only be maintained by treatments rather than cures. This is not cynicism but a brief synopsis of the absurdity of our healthcare system of which I've seen personally countless times. I think the world is beginning to see the truth about many things though but no one speaks the truth who speaks of vengeance because the truth is the reason for forgiveness. 🙏

Question: How does HIIT improve Mitochondria in brain tissue? Whatever exercise may we do those does not move any part of the brain after all? I am confused!
@larsnystrom6698
@larsnystrom6698 8 ай бұрын
@KamrulHasan-zq2wc Exercise has a profound effect on the brain too. Not just the body. Why? I don't think any9ne really knows. Sometimes things work in rather subtle ways. F9r example, the body produces more taurine when you exercise. Why? We don't know. But we need more taurine, so it was suggested that's why exercice is good for us. And it's very prevalent in the brain, heart, and retina, for example. But I don't think that's it. But I'm pretty sure exercise is absolutely necessary for both brain and body.

How about a vegan plant based diet and it’s effects on mitochondria? Thanks
@brianwnc8168
@brianwnc8168 Жыл бұрын
As a nutritionist who's been researching different nutritional strategies for 25 years, my suggestion is that such a video teach about what foods in general can do, presenting how a single ingredient can have a short-term effect on our mitochondria, but explaining how patterns of eating affect our mitochondria over many years. Vegan diets can heal you when done correctly and they also can destroy your health slowly over time without people realizing it until they've done deeper longer-term damage. This has nothing to do with veganism per se because you can do this on any kind of diet when one's research is not deep enough yet pursues many of the modern diets that have become fads. I'm a big believer in all of these diets when used properly but I have seen more people use them improperly than properly in my practice. Unfortunately, the availability of food products in the mainstream in most countries is still a bunch of rubbish, including much of the vegan food that is expensive and highly processed but purchased in large amounts from wealthy people pursuing a fad but not doing enough homework. Same thing with the keto folks selling their products. Or any other trend diet you see. However, All of these diets can heal when done correctly for the period of time that is best to do them. The long-term health studies are showing issues with some of the most extreme approaches to these fad diets. There's a lot of evidence emerging that cycling through different ways of eating can actually be very very helpful to bring the greatest Vitality to the body and to extend life the longest. Overly processed or improperly processed packaged Foods in the quantities that many believe are healthy can actually destroy your health, regardless of whether it's an animal product or a plant product or fungi product or a bacteria product or an algae, Etc. Best wishes on the Journey of figuring out your health

Oh man, I totally hear you. And I believe that you can. In your case, it won't be easy and it will take some time, but I believe you can get there. First off, I'd consult with your physician. Then, I'd start out with just one simple thing that you can do. If walking gives you cramps, try biking. Or rowing. Figure out what you can do that doesn't trigger your cramps. But do something! Now, start out easy. The important thing is not how hard you're working out, but how consistently. If you're doing something that's seems to be barely taxing you, but you do it everyday, I believe you'll see results. Then, up the exertion level. Start slow, take baby steps and BE CONSISTENT. That's my advice. Let me know how it goes. I was just about your age when I began my journey.

I have a friend (male) in his mid 50s who had similar problems. His blood work was normal (no diabetes, Thyroid, Kidney etc), but a specialist got him to test his Testosterone level and it was way below what it was supposed to be. Since then he has been taking two herbal supplements: White Musli (chlorophytum borivillanium) (600 mg) and Shilajit (500 mg). One tablet each after breakfast and dinner taken with warm milk and is feeling much better. He can exercise daily, energy levels are better, no constant fatigue, sleep is better. You can improve your strength and muscle tone by doing simple exercises: Push ups, burpees, squats etc. Start with a small number and increase slowly. Hope you will feel better soon. All the best.

I dont get, why some people eat extremely healthy, exercise and stll don't have good health?? Sone people eat extremely poorly and have optimal health?? My own observation: my mom 78 diabetic, overweight, many other health issues created by the drugs taking for diabetes and HB ,my dad 90 years old, fantastic health, no health problems, both eat the same diet, no suplement of any minerals nor vitamins, why he is so healthy while my mom is not?? My dad,walk lots,laught a lot, take small naps through out the day, ( is kind of he doesn't have stress) go to bed at 9 PM, but took 2 hrs nap before that,up at 6 AM, my mom always worried, poor sleep quality, not much exercise, dont laugh often, she eat away more vegetables then he does....there's no need to take all this suplements, it's all about energy blocked.

try dancing. i swear i can feel telomeres growing when i dance to music i love. even better in a room full of dancers. u laugh, stretch, relax, smile and keep a rythym. only thing better is swimming. strong belief in enjoying the exercise u choose being good for your health. sounds like your Dad had a nice steady and rythmic way of life. it worked for him. watch all the older people still dancing and looking youthful.

Studies shows that married men tend to live longer than unmarried men and married women tend to die sooner than unmarried women 😆🥴 Joking aside, your mom ought to look into incorporating intermittent fasting and a clean keto diet into her routine. Then after a few weeks she can start incorporating some extended fasts ie 36, 48, 72+. I always feel detoxed and renewed after an extended fast 🙂

I don’t like the metformin part either, but have read articles where it boosts the removal of disfunctioning mitochondria (autophagy); however, metformin also causes depletion of vitamin b…. So that, to me, would be like a double edged sword we can do without 🤷🏻‍♀️

I almost hate to say this, but you are sooooooo wrong. I'm 73 and I've got more energy than most 30 year olds. Not elite athletes, of course, but I would wager that most 30 year olds can't keep up with me. When I work out at Orange Theory and we're doing some type of benchmark, I'm almost always the first to finish. So, yeah, it IS possible.

@LanceHitchings
@LanceHitchings 3 жыл бұрын
If only we could. Unfortunately, we didn't evolve to get the most health from out diets, only to survive. And due to modern farming techniques and food industry practices, our foods just don't have as many nutrients as they used to. But to answer your question, No. Just taking supplements won't do it. You also need to eat healthy foods and exercise.
