I don't really know or mind what you are talking about. You are just a beautiful man to watch.

That high pitch noise was caused by damaged or sometimes just very dry ball bearing on the pump motor axis. When you replace just ball bearings it should be much quieter. To replace bearings you need special tools and a little skills, but in most of cases its possible to do it by yourself.

Mine did not make uch a high pitch noise. But it still made quite an audible noise still. I just bought a couple of bags with 25 Kg of sand and put it next to it and on it. It reduced the noie significantly. Now I hae air bubbles in the pipes, probably due to the sandfilter where some valves do not close that good anymore. That noise is more difficult to tackle (yeah, another sandfilter). But if it is your pump...sandbags cost little and are a good way to block sound.

Random question. Are you from the Caribbean or grow up there? Your accent sounds so familiar to me.

Looking for things to soundproof a rowhouse apartment basement... the biggest problem is the wall under the stairs that connects to their house. The basement is unfinished and the landlord is allowing drilling under the stairs.
