There are two kinds of garden egg leaves. You don't eat the garden egg leaves that make those large fruits (afufa), those leaves are rough and hard. But the edible leaves are soft and smooth and the plant produce smaller sized garden eggs. I grow both types of garden eggs so I know.

❤️👍Thanks for this madam.👍👍❤️. I've used garden egg leaf to cook so many times, especially in climes where there's scarcely any Ugwu leaves. Don't mind the criticism. I've seen that food preparation differs with each culture so one ingredient can be cooked in several ways and none of them is wrong, infact, they end up being delicious. There's no need to get stuck with a particular method and criticise others for doing it differently. Continue with the good work and don't let differing opinions disturb you. @@okpetheresaaanya the way dey prepare bitter leave soup with coco yam & Akwu, is the same way you prepare garden egg leaf soup. The different between bitter leave soup and garden egg leaf soup is that u don't cover the pot once u put ur garden egg leaf.

There are many ways to cook any food. She has taken her time to describe hers. I think it is better to watch and learn. Other people cook this same soup differently. Please watch and learn. I've seen different recipes for these same ingredients and they all turned out well.
