Good job with plenty of info for us dummies who need it.😎

How are you getting it from that channel into the engine bay?

Gotta watch the video👍

@@RobMotive I did. You tucked it between grommet and windshield. But then where? How did you route it around the hood hinge? How did you get through the seals around that area?

You keep highlighting the lights as you point to one side. Why not use the smaller wire and use both sides? I'm aware that you already have used the driver side for your light bar. Maybe you could pull that one out put the smaller in underneath and reinstall the bigger wire. By running both wires in one side you will still have to crossover to the drivers side. Just a thought.

You never showed the run from cab to battery

You mean physically running wire?

A windshield replacement might be a bit more involved, not if but when it happens. But I can see you there when it does happen so you can route it as you want it.

Yup! That’s what I’d do👍

There's a method to get the wiring through the roof into the cab so you can run the wire to the firewall and out to the engine compartment. It's a part used for marine applications and waterproof. Called a Cable router Gland. Drilling through the roof is necessary but the end result is a clean finished professional appearance. I drilled through my roof in former vehicles for radio antenna and the like using similar marine products to form a tight bladder like seal. Never had a leak even in freeze/thaw environment. Cable Gland (Sea View) on Amazon.

There is absolutely a better way - I have a SwitchPros with light bar, side lights (on canopy), and chase lights (on canopy) and have tidier wiring than any of the options you talk about. KC Hilites Wire Hider on each A-pillar will solve all of your problems. Put big light bar wire pair down driver's side. Run 2 pairs of smaller wires in the passenger side for side lights and possibly another set of something up top. Throw away the low quality, pre-fabbed harness kit that is built for a button switch wired to a battery - the wires are never the right length for anyone and it's all crap. Then go buy high quality GXL wire (thin wall for easier fit into Wire Hider), Tesa tape, loom, Deutsch connectors and build a proper custom harness. Also, your light bar and fairing are one set of bolts too high and the light bar is higher than your top rack bars. If you ever put anything long on your rack, you'll be loaded onto your light bar. Building harnesses seems lame until they are done and you realize it's the best way to go. High Performance Academy KZbin channel has great videos on auto wiring to show you the light - pun intended.
