I think at 2:14, it should be the length from the power source to whatever you're powering, and then back to the power source again. Blue Sea Systems also has a good 12V wire gauge chart.

As always I enjoy your videos! It is worth mentioning too that you should always fuse the circuit with the fuse being as close to the power source as possible to protect the wire.

What's 12 AWG? I have like 1-2 amps(a wifi 4g modem and a small microusb sync module for cameras). I used 1mm² thick wires. Will I burn this shit down?

Very disappointed with this video. There is no actual information imparted to help you calculate the wire size for your application. They point you to a chart but say nothing about the voltage type AC vs DC … or that the chart should be for the voltage that you are using. … yes the consequences are real for getting it wrong … sure. How about the consequences of using the wrong chart?
