Oden's eye eyeshadows are so inconsistent as formula.. some creators are very happy with them but I've seen plenty of wear tests where they are far from being good. Such a pity 😕 I was very interested in them.. but I loooved you swatches video! You really did a nice work 👏

@@qimzel I haven't bought any yet and see a few consumer & micro influencer reviews on IG that are negative and I fully trust 2 of those people. If there not bad shadows then they definitely need some helpful hints to make them work. Personally I think everyone got the same batch but perhaps they just swatched & reviewed without testing but once you say its a favorite show us how your getting it to work 🤔.

I am in my home stretch for my rhinoplasty surgery. It’s on 2/6. I am so tired of always being congested, clogged, dry, can barely breathe, smell, can’t sleep. I can’t wait to smell perfume the way it’s supposed to smell. Lol. I am trying to stay in doors right now. But maybe a lil trip up to BBW will make me feel better. I have loved that Maybelline shadow for years, even though it's not one of the ones people usually talk about! You would also love the shade Nude Glow--it's a rosy-hued taupe that has such an expensive looking sheen on the eye...honestly comparable to the look I get from my Tom Ford quads. Many of the other shades are trash, though, so I only really recommend those two shades!

Hey Lauren, I loved your message about self care at the end! You’re so right, it’s important to keep doing the things that help us feel less anxious. I shopped a lot for a long time instead of dealing with what I was feeling. Those temporary dopamine hits were great at the time, but I’ve found that managing and trying to organize and find room for all the things is both mentally and physically exhausting. I recently got my first Terra Moons order and I teared up from how amazed I was at the beauty of those shadows. The shade Palladium made me think of you! I have the cosmos and a few other beauties but my husband said I could order $100 worth of any makeup I wanted for an anniversary present (we have been together 5 years!) so of course I ordered more haha. I have been living for indie shadows lately and odens eye and clionadh are some other favorites! Blend bunny is my fave for mattes. I can’t believe it took me until 2022 to discover indie makeup KZbin. I still love Sephora and Ulta brands of course but there is something special about some of these indie brands. They just kill it at the eyeshadow game!

Late to game new Favourite for me is the Dior Rosy Glow blush in pink. Absolute LOVE!!! I Wanted to try it for sooo long but the price was 😣! I’m at the stage w my collection that I am really trying to limit any over $20 purchases to items I do not need or have something similar. I have a lot of blush, but not that shade so knowing it was “allowed made it harder to resist. And watching Kackie use it & rave about it non-stop, esp as a layering blush, was making me obsessive about it, lol. Like go visit it on-line regularly and search far & wide comparing Dupe swatches. The only thing that stopped me from dupe purchasing is all of them were on hard to get sites/bad exchange rate sites. …annddd I learned my lesson after spending a year researching & buying around 12+ “perfect taupe eyeshadow shade” dupes after swatching the ND Glam palette in-store, falling in love but balking at the price b4 finally breaking down & buying it!! Nothing like a yr-long ADD hyper-focus in the middle of a global pandemic lock-down 🤦🏼‍♀️! Long story long - finally right b4 Xmas I had to rebuy one of my staple skincare items at Sephora & I decided to treat myself. I have literally worn it every single day makeup day since. I don’t know what kind of magic they put in it but you can literally cover your face in it, add 10 layers, or just a little & it still looks beautiful. There is a reason it’s a cult classic! And also, it’s rare that reality lives up an obsession like that - my Glam palette is pretty but I’ve maybe used it 4 times in a year bcuz it just feel like an occasion palette & I have so many other easy-use eyeshadows that I grab for every-day. Which is every is literally every day bcuz pandemic life is hard to quit & I can’t remember the last I had an occasion!! & when I do I have lots of other beautiful beautiful barely used occasion palettes! Speaking of every day tho - one of my other BIG faves is the Revlon 4-pan prismatic palettes!! Most used shadow, so easy, so pretty!! Tarte just came out with a shade dupe for the Dior rosy blush - I tested in-store side by side & it’s pretty much identical shade-wise but it’s really the formula that has me 😍. To the point where I am almost at the point of getting the Coral shade. That’s Kackie’s fault too - she got it to test, thinking it wouldn’t wouldn’t be a great shade match for her & then loved/raved about it, esp as a layering blush. I have just FINALLY stopped trying to make “orange” or orange-leaning blushes work for me. They just don’t, to the point I decluttered anything even remotely orange, even in my face formulas. The Dior Rosy Coral blush is as close to orange as you can get, and still call it “coral”. And yet I am soooo close to buying it!! My brain has me convinced that the formula is so good it will be beautiful regardless - the first and only orange blush to not only work for me but turns me into a beautiful fairy princess!! So, if literally anyone had bothered to read to the end of this ridiculous novel length free-form ramble AND has the Dior Rosy coral blush, can you tell me if a) you are now a beautiful fairy Princess, b) does it make every other blush you layer it with turn into the perfect unique shade, & c) should I go buy it so my life can be forever changed for the better?! All kidding aside, if you want the Pink, get it! & Highly recommend the Revlon quads. I’ve fully procrastinated for an hour now writing this so if any1 actually reads all the way to end, pls reply just so i know some1 did! 😂

I read until the end 😊 My unicorn is something I imagine to be a cream version of the Dior blush in Pink (I don’t have it but I have the ph changing lip oil). I pine for a bright magenta but in a sheer enough formula I could easily blend it on my pale skin.

If you’re still partaking in your drugstore journey and want to explore foundations, the L’Oreal Age Perfect 4-in-1 Tinted Face Balm Foundation is one that I think you’ll really really love. I picked it up on a whim when it was on sale at Walgreens last year and since then have had to make myself use other foundations before using it all up and repurchasing another because it just knocks the others out of the park. It seriously outperforms high end formulas. It’s everything I wanted the Kevyn Aucoin balm foundation and the KVD Good Apple to be.

If you like the urban decay, formula, I would try the shade rockstar. It’s a deep purple with a bit of a warm-ish undertone. It ends up being a staple for me.

I love the colourpop- it's most of my make up collection. their moisturizing foundation is my fave other than my cushion bb cream from a korean company. I hated the concealer too. But also I haven't found a concealer I like and just gave up. I just use my foundation as concealer if I don't want a full face of foundation.

I don't like the Pretty Fresh concealer for under my eyes but I used to use it all the time as my bronzer because I kept having breakouts around the same areas of my cheeks and so it was easier to just use a complexion product than to mix and layer.

Oooh that greige ❤️ 😘 😍 Boxycharmers (prem), if you got the Dominique palette this month, I think the shade soul is a near dupe for sterling greige. Obviously the Maybelline is a better deal, but if you already have the unconditional palette, don't sleep on this shade. It looks so expensive & subtly luxurious, I can't get enough, lol I m gonna pan it by summer haha. If you have to do networking & outreach, but sometimes get intimidated, makeup like this helps me build my psychological "armor" (that plus an 'expensive' trendy coat from Kohl's that cost $12 at goodwill lol).

14:32 if your looking for a good shimmer eyeliner Pat McGrath makes a gorgeous mid tone brown liner with shimmer that’s just stunning. I am light complexion like you and it’s beautiful on the eyes. Glides on so easily, creamy and blends like a dream. It’s my go to holy grail as I’m sure you can tell I love it. I think it’s called taupe but you will see it on her sight. The blue is equally lovely in formulation and a really pretty colour as well. On the other end of the spectrum I have bought a couple essence liners and omg they are good. The nude one lasts longer on my waterline than any other has including high end. I also bought a turquoise one that lasts forever on the water and tight line, blends beautifully and is a really pretty pop of colour with a cool toned greige eye look. Hope you give them all a try. I promise you won’t be disappointed. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I have an essence eyeliner that I LOVE is almost exactly like UD mushroom that they discontinued. I’m almost done & I’ve been on the hunt for a replacement. I’m in 🇨🇦 & none of the retailers that carry UD have mushroom - like they don’t carry it, never mind not in stock. I’m on a low-buy (ish) and I don’t want to order straight from UD for one eyeliner. Soooo…I have tried literally every other brand high-end to drugstore. Cousins but not sisters. Finally went in store to Sephora & their 12 hr eye pencils in Flirting Game is it! I haven’t worn it on my eyes yet but the swatch I did on my hand was bullet proof. The down-side is the lid was super-tight and the tip busted totally off removing it & I felt like sharpening it ate a big chunk of the pencil! Anyway, if any1 is looking for a mid-price UD Mushroom dupe, Sephora Flirting Game might be the one!

Pay for the receipt paper 🤣🤣🤣 YOU ALWAYS MAKE ME LAUGH, I LOVE YOUR HUMOR💜 I know Ive said this before but in the grossly overpriced ‘woke’ dumpster fire I live in, drug stores & TJ Maxx etc.. have way less makeup & what they do have is thrown everywhere, open, displays are covered like thickly covered in just ground globs of makeup, Target never goes a day where a bottle of foundation or a bronzer is smeared down an aisle floor, eyeshadow pallets just smashed -Im so jealous when I see people shopping at Walmart, TJ Maxx, CVS, Target & theirs clean, stocked, unopened, in tact bargains 😞 TJ Maxx’s here now have locked plastic cubes of the very minimal makeup & skincare bargains! •Another side note: I find drugstore skincare to be really pricey? what a great video, really loved it! had the same exact experience with the Colourpop concealer, it looks ok at the beginning, but then kind of disappears and darkens the under eye area at the same time

Can you compare the Bobbi Brown luxe quad with any similar Pat McGrath eyeshadow you own? Part of me wants to buy it and part of me wants to dupe the vibe with my PatMcGrath pallettes since I own most of them...

So I caved... and bought the lunar new year quad on impulse. I will be comparing it to the special shades in my Pat McGrath palettes but right off the bat, the glitter particles are finer and as a result more reflective in comparison to the chunkier special shades in Pat's palettes. Will be extensively comparing them though but so far, no regrets 😉 I'm going to have to keep an eye out for Bobbi!! She might snatch miss Pat's place.

Which concealer do you like better than the colourpop one? It’s my go to but now I think about it and it does age my under eye area! Holy crap! Also I’m DYING to know more about the devinah shadows you showed a few videos ago and then never talked about them again 😅

I wanted to like the pretty fresh concealer from ColourPop but after getting halfway through the tube it started to sting sitting on my undereyes. It has happened with two tubes so it wasn't an isolated incident,idk if it's the hyaluronic acid going off or what but I'm not trying to burn my eye bags so issa no from me
