Before the pandemic I used to road trip to this Mitsuwa once a month. Always start with a large shio bowl at santouka, hit the gift shop, then buy plenty of menraku ramen, mochi ice cream, ito en tea, and misc snacks. It's been a year, and I miss it deeply.

I doubt he eats like that every day. He likely takes a few days to a week or two between these crazy binges. Like a competitive eater does. It’s still not a healthy eating habit but if he sees any ill health effects it will probably be much later in life if he’s taking a few days to a few weeks break between his meal binges. Working out only helps the calorie burning and won’t affect the sodium he taken in... the average instant noodle package is between 1500 to 2000 mg of sodium... he probably took in two weeks worth of sodium for that video.

@@gaya01 exercise only helps burn calories. It doesn’t help the ridiculous sodium intake of that many instant noodle packages. He somewhat addressed this in his dumpling video with Matt Stonie where they talk about where a competitive eater usually maintains a strict diet most of the year to try to maintain health... Mike agreed so I hope he’s doing the same. In this video he literally ingested two weeks worth of sodium (recommended is 2000 mg a day)

The back row of the food court was open in early Nov 2020 with acrylic panels separating the tables. There was a line to get seated, but we didn’t need to line up to get into Mitsuwa. Looks like they enforcing more rules now. Your video makes me want to go back to take my time in the store. I usually try to go once a year since it’s an hour plus to get there.

Who else lives in NJ and now has a new shopping list for the next time they go to Mitsuwa? My boyfriend and I usually make a little day out of traveling up to Edgewater cause it's about 45-60 minutes away depending on traffic. Much like Mikey, I would HIGHLY recommend it.
