I bought the LV Coussin BB in black. It is my absolute favorite luxury purse ever. The scrumptious lambskin, coupled with the chunky gold chain make for an elegant and stunning accessory. I don't have the same problem with my chain, as the BB has a thinner leather strap, not canvas. And the chain falls at the perfect spot on the bag. Love, love, love.

I had no idea what a “Birkin” was the first time I saw one, but I loved it! I would not give up my car to own one, but I could tell it was for sure something special. If I ever invest in this level of designer bag, it won’t sit on a shelf. I’ll use it all the time. I have a rare vintage Fendi and use it for extra special date nights as well as toting stickers and hot wheels for littles in church. I’m too old and too tired to keep track of what will earn me status. 😂

@@jamies.8045 that's how they (Birkins) were meant to be used! I use the living daylights out of mine and they definitely can take the use. Super functional too. Bonus is that they can be refurbished/stitched maintained by Hermes to keep them in shape and looking new. I have one that's 10 years old that I use almost daily as my work/tote bag and it still looks fabulous.

I bought the LV Coussin MM last year and the first thing I did was remove the gold chain for everyday wear. If I wear it in the evening or dressy I take off the canvas strap and use the gold chain. I’ve NEVER worn both at the same time. In that beige color I think it looks best with the gold chain strap. Mine is black and both straps look good.

@Evelyn Swenson I also bought the Vegamour serum!! I think in this particular video she forgot to 'read the room', or at least watch the news! The cost of all bags shown in this video are as much or more than some individual's salary and some she said she'll barely carry bc of the increase in value (or the bracelet she wore ONCE, bc it just didn't pair well with her other thousand dollar bracelets & rings 🙄)! I'm like you, I watch for suggestions for items I can actually use in my daily life. And to be completely honest, if I did have thousands of extra $$$, I wouldn't be buying purses!!!

@@amandaadkins3524 I appreciate everyone who states how they can't afford a bag or bags off that magnitude of price and find it ridiculous, but when I see people insulting others ( not saying u, LOL). it bothers me because some people can't or some can afford the luxury and enjoy looking at her videos for browsing purposes; the people on Facebook that insult her or anyone are jealous and won't ever be able to afford luxurious stuff and that is not anyone problems. its called unfollowing and gliding by her videos; WHY DO people have to knock her for being able to afford things. some people obtain careers that can afford them the right to be able to buy luxurious items. WHY should anyone feel guilty about affording and buying an expensive items. I mean I know people that buy expensive stuff like that or crystals like Waterford glasses vases or household crap which to be honest I find insane but its a pleasure that people have and I was once ridiculed for buying by daughter at 14 her first Louis Vuitton bag; I told people to F--K themselves she was bullied and suffered immensely and I wanted to make her happy ; my business they should have said nothing and said use it in good health but no it was mere jealous especially by her EX friends. I told her to ignore work hard for your career and be able to afford what u want at any given day. we all need to appreciate each others guilty pleasures not chastise them for affording it;; LOL sorry for my rant I have been beaten up on FB for things ; mine was for being depresses and posting too much about any mothers death;; imagine this. FB is disgusting; I never post anything buy due to this reason. sometimes people rather celebrate your misery instead of pleasures Happy new year!

@@andreaevola184 I think the presumption that anyone who watched this video, followers or not, are simply 'jealous' is absolutely not the case. The majority of Shea's videos are based on bargain purchases, dupes, suggestions for organization, etc. and to put out a video at Christmas time regarding the comparison of not one, but multiple high end purchases (also during a pandemic where some individuals have either lost their jobs or chosen to leave to uphold their personal values) quite literally appeared to be not well thought out in light of current events. I really couldn't care less if she wants to spend every last dime she earns on a designer label, but that's not why myself, or thousands of others, chose to follow her channel. Also, when you put yourself on a public platform you open yourself to comments of all sorts, positive & negative. I own plenty of 'luxury brand items' and our household income is well above 6 figures, but I'm not so vain or oblivious to so many other's current circumstances that I would go on a 30-minute rant to my closest friends, much less online, about my displeasure in my thousands of $$$ worth of designer goods! I don't follow Shea on FB, but I'm certain most of the negative comments aren't coming from a place of jealously, but a feeling of disconnect from this individual many chose to follow bc she markets herself as 'an average housewife/mom w/a knack for bargains' & she missed the mark with this one. Honestly, the 'they're just jealous' comment sounds like mean girl talk. 🤷‍♀️

the LV crossbody bag initially was shown with a beautiful thick vachetta strap and a very luxurious little pocket with a golden lock. google the runway photos for this bag and you will see it. then they changed the design to this poor strap with this lousy little pocket on it. they literally de-luxed it. now the strap looks cheap.

Oil the zipper. I have the same problem, especially with Louis Vuitton. Totally agree it should run smoothly - it will if oiled periodically. Having said that, the zippers are HIGH quality zippers and maybe that’s why they run a little rougher and need to be oiled. I use oil my manicurist uses for my cuticles . Easy :)

Love the Cartier stack you wear, if I could suggest, look into the small Love bracelets. They are about half the width of the original and were created with the idea of stacking with the original. The other great options may be the Clash or Ecru bracelets, although the Clash is pink gold only, however the PG is so soft and almost looks yellow especially when stacked!

For zippers, take some crumpled up wax paper and run it along the metal parts to lubricate them. Working in retail in college taught me some tricks!

Hey! 😊 You can try to put a little lip balm on the zipper. Or aquaphor. You can try it maybe on a cheep zipper first to test it. But that's how I fix all my zippers. For years. It 's no damaging at all. Just a little on a que tip. It makes such a difference.

Shea, to make the zipper run smoothly you can either get some WD 40 spread and spray surface get a Q-tip and lightly rub it to Wd 40 then rub over the metal zipper top of the zipper teeth then run the zipper back-and-forth on your bag(please be careful not to get on cloth by zipper. A little goes a long way) or you can take a bar soap and lightly rub it lightly over the zipper brushing away the soap residue if there is any and pulling the zipper open and closed on your bag. This also is very handy for your drawers on any cabinet or a window that is hard to open and close. I hope this helps.

Love the Birkin...huge fan here! My first I purchased in 2006 and wore it straight for 12 years before replacing it with another. Bonus...sold the original one for what I paid for it. That's a cost-per-wear that can't be beat. They are durable, functional (I really use them...don't baby them at all). I wasted so much money in the past on trendy pieces that I got tired of after 6 months or that didn't last long. Totally with you on the silver Cartier. The YG is so much more cohesive on you.

A trick my LV SA taught me and something they even did in the boutique for me is rubbing wax paper (yes, household wax paper) on the zipper to give it a smoother zip. I almost wanted to sell my v tote because the zipper was so tough but now it’s so buttery!! Try it!!!

Thank god you sent back the love bracelet, the rhodium plating (in my experience) has NOT lasted and its our hugest regret in my collection between my wife and I. Dingy doesn't even begin to describe the wear, we have had to have it replaced so many times ($250 each time) that its insane. I suggest adding a VCA 5 motif!

Love this video! I have the utility bag and wear it every single day with 4 little kids. I fit many coins in the teeny tiny zipper compartment. The strap isn’t dirty and I’m not careful at all. The zipper also gets much smoother with time.

That coussin bag is a mess in my opinion. The gold chain looks tacky. The only one I like is the birkin but I’m not a bag girl so I’d never buy it. Glad you enjoy looking at it. I Just don’t get the whole designer bag thing but I like your videos.

Outside of that length of the chain when the "loops are up," the problem with the Coussin is the diamond-shaped "loops" for the straps. If those were round, would not be a problem. If you want to use both, I'd carry the chain in the middle zipper pouch inside and leave it there. Use the outer two pouches to put your stuff in.

I have the LV Coussin bag and I don’t have that problem with the chain getting tangled.. If you clip the gold chain onto the diamond handle part (not into the circle where the adjustable strap goes) I think you’ll stop having that problem.. hope this helps! Also to stay organized, I keep my wallet/keys in the center zipper and then on one side I’ll keep like any makeup I’m taking out with me/chapstick, cosmetics etc and on the other side I’ll keep random miscellaneous stuff like mail, masks, glasses etc 😊

Great video & I DO love the utility bag, but don’t have it in my collection. As far as the Coussin; I have the same one & haven’t even used the fabric strap - I don’t care for the color at all. However, I have the black strap that came with another bag, and it’s beautiful with the Coussin! It still gets in the way but it looks good! 😄

I’ve worked on jewelry and all gold is yellow gold and they add stuff to it to make it white gold. They use rhodium to make it look white again. As white gold ages it starts to yellow over time.

Hermes is absolutely classy and so chic! Gucci and Vuitton are not. And neither are bags with HUGE logos. Well in my opinion, at least, and maybe because I'm from France :) Hermes and Chanel bags are so chic, timeless and well made.

I know so many people that think of bags as an investment but they rarely carry them so they can sell them but don’t ever plan to sell them. In that case, no matter how high the bag goes up in value you aren’t making anything on appreciation and you’re losing a lot of money when you factor in cost per wear. Although, I imagine with such a nice closet even looking at items you have on display an spark some kind of joy. :)

Shea I like you used get annoyed with the gold chain on my LV bag but now it doesn’t get caught underneath at all 👍 try this out. Clip your chain on the gold ring that’s attached to the strap & the clip . Love all your video xx

Happy New Year. This was really enjoyable and helpful. You haven’t done a truly luxury video for ages. As it’s a new year it would be really good if you could do a handbag collection video, or two as you have a lot. You have such a wonderfully diverse high/low collection that is very different to other KZbinrs who usually only show luxury bags. With your Chloe tote, have you tried using a fabric protector spray on the fabric straps? I use Scotchgard Fabric Protector on fabric bags and shoes, and furniture and car seats, and it’s really good. It lasts for years and stains just sponge off easily. It might make you more comfortable wearing it if it’s protected.
