Marylou Fairbanks is that the one that uses deva curl which has been making news for the hair breakage t is said to be responsible for.

Deva curl was a popular brand within the community yes but it's not specific to that brand. Curly girl method focuses on using no sulfates or silicones aswell as no heat on the hair. And specific special ways of combing, drying, and styling

Re ELF Baked Highlighter: When you first use it, if you lightly scratch the surface layer off with a spoolie or the tip of the blade of a pair of scissors it works a LOT better. The instructions on the package actually say to do this, but I guess a lot of people don't ever read them and they get frustrated because they can't get it to load onto a brush. Once you do scratch the surface they're awesome, and for $4 you can't beat it.

I love the elf baked highlights. I own 2. I scratched the surfaces off and they are beautiful. I use them semi often as well.

iherb i had the worst experience. i placed an order and when it arrived everything was broken and/or leaking. i had to fight like hell to reach customer service and to even try to get a response and when I finally did they said they would ship the order again but I had to return the items I had which was inconveniant to me and I even sent them a picture of all the damaged items. literally everything was damaged. I still had to ship it back, I had to PAY for the shipping and when they reshipped the order they said they wouldn't charge me for it but when I checked my statement they did charge me. So I got double charged..I ended up having to file a complaint with the BBB to get my money back. It was horrible..again maybe I am one of the few that had a horrible experience with the company but it was so bad.

Wow! I had the complete opposite experience. My box was delivered to someone else and I reached out and iherb sent me a new box immediately. Also...I guess whoever my box was delivered to the first time turned it back in to UPS so I ended up getting that box too. I contacted iherb and told them I got both and they let me keep them both. I contacted them online on their chat and once on their Facebook. They responded within minutes both time I contacted them.

CASSIE! Honestly you really need to try the innisfree no sebum line! I have the loose powder and the primer and it's absolutely life changing! No oil at all on my skin and the price is awesome! Please please please test it out :)

Hi Cassie! I also have really oily skin for the longest time. Then I tried niacinamide from the ordinary, and I noticed I am no longer oily even during the summer. Try it out and see if that normalizes your skin! I also have super oily eyelids and it’s less oily now, and eyeshadow lasts better on me now

CASSIE you have to try Elf's Pore Minimizing Oil Control Serum. It is life changing for oily skin. It's not a primer so you can still use your other products over it. It basically evaporates oils before moisturizing but in the best way possible without drying out the skin like alcohol does

You should try no7 bb protect and perfect cream with spf it's really nice and buildable and I have combo skin that gets super oily throughout the day also elf beauty shield spf tinted moisturiser is amazing. Less coverage but it makes the skin look flawless it feels oily but it does not break down at all

Try the matte version of the elf putty primer, it works really well. It also seems to work fine on sensitive skin.

Curly girl here! I struggle with frizz in this Texas heat, I've been avoiding glycerin on my styling products and that have been working wonderful! I use the Uncle Funky's Daughter Curly Magic Curl stimulator and top it with diy flax seed gel, I think you can use only the magic curl and have great results.

I love the Perfect Hair Day Living Proof stuff! It's good for curly girl. Smells like grapefruit scent, because it contains grapefruit! I use the Triple Detox to clear the hard water yuck from my curls.

I'm not sleeping well either. I'm such a good sleeper, out quickly, sleep 8-9 hrs uninterrupted even if stressed. My sleep and appetite are two things that don't seem to be affected by much. Yet right now, I'm really struggling with sleeping enough or uninterrupted and have no idea why. I'm not particularly stressed, not sick, not in pain. Just can't get to sleep (til 6 or 8am at times) and sometimes wake up in the middle somewhere. It's maddening. I love my sleep!

I want to try the Elf lipgloss! I have a Pacifica eyeliner pencil with the same white/gold design as the nude. It’s a perfect, cooler brown called “Fringe”. I ❤️ it so much! I need to pick up a few more! I highly recommend.

that blush color is amazing. i never liked coral/peach colors and im fair skinned and found a buxom blush in a similar color and sd "f it" its my favorite blush just like you said it adds life to your cheeks. pinks can sometime look too.. over the top but on very fair skin w cool undertones coral/peach looks bomb!!!

When you said the highlighter packs a punch; I agree, but in the since it makes the cheeks look like they have been punched and swollen. I'm not a fan of contour either, it's like painting on a bruise.

Hi Casey! I think the L'Oreal BB serum foundation is directed towards more mature skins, which usually are more dry than "young skins" Therefore it won't work on oily skins. Luckily, although not yet mature, I am on the dry side type of skin, so I use and abuse this BB cream and I am really happy about it :-) Sorry it didn't work on you. Love you!

Try Jcat Aquasurance powder fndtn for a week. Dont use any liquid/cream products with it. Do overlook that its not completely transfer resistant, because it gives medium to full coverage that doesnt look cakey in a powder format that allows your skin to heal and stop breaking out WHILE having the benefit of coverage and blurring makeup. I use a mattifying powder on the tzone underneath for oil control, because it doesnt have that. It has great longevity for a powder, and I also use it as concealer. My acne is so much better from switching, I owe it to humanity to make a post about it on Reddit. I shall. Liquid foundations just mess up my skin to different degrees. The ones that were least problematic thus far were the UD Stay Naked & Clinique Stay Matte, but still, they were the LEAST problematic, not completely acne (cosmetica) safe.
