I don't go for luxury makeup because reasons (I didn't have a job before), but the Marc Jacobs Steeletto palette is kind of speaking to me 😳 Also, Colourpop is killing the game at an affordable price, and I just bought the blue and red palettes, the Disney princesses (because I'm a basic B) and the Sweet Talk palette (and a yellow pigment, I kind of blacked out).

Melt's Gemini is a fave for sure. Cover FX blush duo is my current obsession. Never thought I'd spend that much on blush, but you can use it as eyeshadow in addition to the several types of blush/highlight combos. It blends like a dream.

I just ordered my first Pat McGrath palette (the MTHRSHP Sublime Bronze Ambition, currently on sale at Sephora site for $27.50 from $55 for Memorial Weekend sale!!) and I am SO STOKED to try it. For $55, heck no. For $27.50, gimme, please. For lipsticks, I think I won't be buying any high end for a while b/c there are so many good ones drugstore price (next I want to try Flower Beauty Petal Pout lipsticks). I just filmed a lipstick/lip gloss declutter, and I even had multiple unopened ones that I'll never use so I'm giving away. I have a problem and need to stop buying lipsticks...

Bri Lindhart I know the pressing/ stability/ fragility issues Melt seems to have with the shimmers/ metallics in their palettes has kept me from making the purchase. I know if/ when I do decide to take the chance on one of their palettes I’ll definitely purchase from Sephora rather than direct from Melt b/c if I were to run into issues returning wouldn’t be as much of a pain, so if you do decide to give it a go that would be my recommendation. That said, if t’s the green side that is especially calling your name, you might want to also check out & perhaps consider Kaleidos Makeup’s Futurism I: Sci- FI palette, which is excellent quality & STUNNING. There are a handful of great video reviews & looks on it - Amy Loves Makeup, Paulina Beauty, & Annette’s Makeup Corner are a few I can recall off the top of my head - and while some of them do mention the comparison/ similarity to Gemini, Melissa Gold has a great video thoroughly comparing the two palettes & each similar shade , using each one on one eye, discussing pros/ cons, etc. so I would especially recommend watching hers. Hope the info helps!

I adore Melt stacks matte formula. PML has super fabulous shadows. I just custom made a lipstick at the bite beauty lip lab. Pricey but super worth it for me. Bougie and FUN. I love unique lip colors, I prefer ibullet lipstick.

I too have a big love of luxury makeup and high end makeup tho I too will readily admit there’s great good mediocre and downright awful. I adore Tom Ford having found very few things I don’t like. Chantecaille is half half -Clea de Peau is ok but the concealer remains the best , and By Terry used to be a great love but the fragrance is that where I just can’t do but all pat McGrath has been a winner from highlighters (tho I despise the cheap packaging of these) to her shadows and lipsticks

I’m really into the hourglass palettes but they are so expensive can you please try to find a dupe for the palettes it don’t have to be a palette it could be single shades of highlighter bronzer and illuminating setting powder. I know people say wetnwild reserve your cabana is almost a dupe once it’s applied on the skin and elf Illuminating palette is also a dupe I don’t think they are a dupe by far. I’m looking for a formula,shade, non-powdery, and the pigmentation has to be on point I know it’s going to be a hard one to dupe but if anyone can find a good dupe it would be you!!!

Did you try the smoke sessions palette from melt cosmetics? Let me tell you, I have both the Gemini and the smoke sessions and I can confirm the the smoke sessions is a step up in quality. Really thought the formula getting better was impossible but BOY I WAS WRONG. Don’t know what kind sorcery they did but the formula is like singing angels packed on 8 tiny rectangles😌😌

Armani Power Fabric concealer. Also, I know you’re not into ND, but I have both the mini nude and the Biba palette and I think they are super high quality. I’ve heard several times that the other minis and a lot of the full-size 5 pan palettes weren’t that great so I waited. 😝 Lastly for skincare, check out YTTP. I’ve become obsessed with their entire line. Especially the Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream and the Superberry Hydrate and Glow sleeping mask. 10/10.

Amber Koehler I’m a big fan of a lot of the YTTP products...except one big thing. I just really wish they would switch to airless packaging for their two hydrators/ moisturizers b/c so many of the great ingredients become close to useless once exposed to air, which obviously can’t be avoided when in jars, & it’s then such a waste . It really frustrates me b/c they’re otherwise SO good!

Sunfish OutOfWater I completely agree, but I’ve been using the Adaptogen for several months now and it’s still working just as good as the day I bought it. I’ve tried a ton of moisturizers and nothing compares, at least for me. My skin absolutely loves the stuff and eats it up! I’ve gone on to purchase almost everything in their line, including the cleanser which I’m obsessed over and the new facial mist. I’ve only used it once so I haven’t formed an opinion but it seems really nice. It’s not so much for setting, but a nice dose of extra hydration and skin care 🥰

lancome hypnose doll eyes mascara is my holygrail. my eyelashes are very straight so i have to use the waterproof version to hold the curl. No drugstore mascara can give me the same effect. i have to sell my soul and spend the coin on it every time i run out. 😓

The marc Jacob's bronzer is deceiving. There's not alot of product when u compare to other bronzers.

Misty Hinds Actually there IS a relatively large amount of product; the product amount is simply listed incorrectly on both the Sephora & the Marc Jacobs sites. In reality it contains 0.8oz/ 25g, so nearly an entire ounce of product such that, IF someone truly is going to use all of the product - a big if, but something that is possible for many when it comes to a favorite bronzer - it is in fact a better cost/oz than many bronzers in Sephora with a lower initial price tag. FYI, on both sites the size/ amount is listed correctly under the other MJ bronzer shade, which has the same size/ packaging.
