Just accept it and look for a nice old truck instead. I watch these videos to keep up with the times, but I couldn't even afford a 10 year old truck. I can afford a 15-20 year old truck. It'll drive you nuts to look at the newer ones. Don't go into debt, it'll be a worse decision. It sucks, I know.

Only cargo I carry is my wheelchair so my truck is a 2013 Nissan Armada. I absolutely ADORE that vehicle. The fully selectable 4x4 and car like driving of the vehicle is absolutely amazing! I live in Florida so the drives on the beach are effortless and I even take her into the woods for mudding from time to time. It has 148,000 miles now and still runs and sounds like new. If you keep your fluids changed you will never have a problem. I hope this is helpful to anyone wanting to buy one but was hesitant. Make sure to save up your gas money tho🤷

I own a '18 Z71. My biggest complaint is the storage bin under the rear seat. As a dog owner of an 80lb Shephard I find the truck almost impossible to take my dog in. If you fold the seat down, it's too high for him to jump up on. Flip up the lower seat and there is no space because the storage bin takes it all and the floor is too small. Hate to say it, but the Honda Ridgeline has a FAR more useable passenger/dog space. We have a Wrangler Unlimited Willy's as well, so we use that for the dog. It just blows my mind that so many trucks DON'T have flat cargo/dog areas in the rear. Our next truck WILL have a spacious flat cargo area in the rear. I'm waiting to see what the rear situation is on the 2023 models. That will tell me if I need to move up to a full-size truck next.

I have a Colorado Redline 2021 and I really like it. With the trailering package it comes with automatic locking rear diff. I really like the ZR2 but for me I just need to get through the snow it is unlikely I will ever be off road. I think the Colorado is one of the better mid sized trucks out there and it is body on frame (like Tacos) but I think it is better execution of BOF than Taco and Ridgeline is unibody so it is not really a truck more of a cross over. As far as interior is concerned its a Chevy - really that is like their trademark cheap plastic interior but the power train is really hard to beat. Nice truck and good job getting out of the mud...

Never lock diffs on the pavement. The truck will not allow you to go into front diff lock unless you are in low 4wd. I tend to unlock diffs after I get through the tuff driving but just remember to unlock diffs before getting back on pavement. Lower pressure on tires will also help.

As you should know by now that Colorado ZR2 is one of my dream trucks 🛻 at least one that isn’t now 70k plus like the Raptor and TRX. I have wanted one since they came onto the Chevy dealership that I was working at in 16. That Crush 🍊 color is definitely wearing on me. I wish that they still had a green like the Olive 🫒 Metallic they had in 18. I also like the Kinetic Blue and Satin Steel color also. Great driving and overview of your truck Mike. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience with your ZR2. I am actually looking into getting a truck 🛻 this year to replace my 13 Chevy Cruze with 155k miles. I prefer a mid size truck 🛻 for maneuverability and parkability. Plus going from a car to a full size would definitely take some getting use to. But now that I have a wife and a stepson and God willing another kid in the future I might be better off with a full size. I definitely will bring my wife and a car seat when looking at mid size trucks 🛻 to see how they fit, etc…

I owned a 2019 ZR2 Diesel for two years and 30k miles. I loved the ride, MPG, off-road capability, front locker and some of the tech stuff. But it was unreliable, constantly in the shop for warranty repair, left me stranded 600 miles from home for two weeks waiting on parts. Had emissions system issues, sensor going bad, torque converter issue, transmission issue,, heater coil blew, the EGR had to be replaced and so on. Turned me off to GM products. However in March of 2021. I got lucky and the dealer gave me almost exactly what I paid for it in a trade in.

I had a 2018 regular Chevy Colorado 4x4 and I really liked it. @peterhoma63853 жыл бұрын
Crawl control is better than front locker from my 23years of off roading experience , it works up hill , down hill and in reverse can’t beat that. Unless you are only doing rock crawling up steep hills that’s the only time front locker may be better .
