Please tell cost effective Mat which does not slip at all on marble floor. I use jute cotten mat and cotton sheet on main mat, so no issue regarding quality of main mat. I just want that main mat must be absolutely anti-slippery on Polished marble floor.

Just a thought, yoga mats have come into existence only recently. How did the yogis who used to practice yoga way before we cud learn it, never used any mats. Then, why do brands are making these yoga mats so costly. Isnt it unfair for someone who never wants to invest in a 5k yoga mat.

Great observation! We need to consider the ancient Yogis overall approach towards life as well. Only satvik food that they would either grow or source themselves, wear just a simple cotton cloth to do practice, bath with cold water before sunrise, and practice 3 hours every day overall their grit and sadhana was another level. Cut to 2022, you don't have to bother about the food we can get online in minutes, you wear the fanciest yoga wear and we give our self a pat on back for doing 30 mins Yoga class. Since our whole existence is around confort we need more support also, we have become weak physically as a race. So, hence fancy things and 5k for a mat isnt much considering you get a bottle of decent wine at the same price or one year netflix subscription.

I checked out 6mm gravolite mats ranging from 1000-1500 and in the list of materials it's showing eva foam & synthetic rubber. Natural rubber is not mentioned anywhere and I have seen eva foam mentioned in cheaper brand mats as well. Is this the right product or the one you have recommended is different??

An year back I got Ida yoga’s natural rubber and Jute yoga mat and I love it for it’s stability on the ground and the top layer is infused with jute which makes it very sticky to the hands and the feet. Ideally yoga is not supposed to be done with a moving draft of air , so a closed indoor room is recommended. Because you should sweat and air draft would cool your body down instead Of heating it

Hello, it's a very informative video. But aapne yoga land wala mat jo dikhaya mere paas bhi vaisa mat hai but in other brand. The problem is main Jahan bhi usse bichhati hu, it leaves sticky marks on the floor. It was an expensive mat and now I don't know how to use it

If your floor is too hot it’s a possibility try when it’s cooler time of the day or on a cooler floor. It’s happening because the material has a lower melting point than ambient temperature
