"the only alternative hou and BLENDER"? lol this blender muscle is not any better compared to all the old school muscle systems you have in each DCC, and it's not real simulation, just a jiggle deformer on top. Also besides the native old maya muscle system which by the way would do the same as this blender addon, you can also build a muscle system with nCloth in maya to have real simulation and interaction it would look much better and closer to what you would get with ziva. Make a search with ncloth maya muscle.

What about Houdini Procedural Anatomy? It's upcoming Beta, automatically generates skeleton and muscles based on your character mesh. Should be a game-changer

Thank you for wrapping up the top solutions, you definitely nailed it. Possible correction, UE5 ML Deformer is not a stand alone solution or alternative to the other options you kindly described. ML Deformer uses an external muscle simulation to provide training data for ML Deformer. Actually in the sample provided by epic, they used Houdini muscle simulation to generate the training data. So, ML Deformer doesn't work on its own.
