Maybe a high/low submission. A carry that includes super premium as well as budget gear. I personally carry a 300+ dollar knife but also a basic bic lighter that costs 2 bucks. Cool to see what gear people want to spend their money on vs where the cheap stuff gets the job done

Seconding this! Our kids start carrying a fanny pack outside and when we go somewhere when they are older toddlers. My 3 year old has stuff like a band aid or two, a snack, a small toy, sometimes a tiny pair of pliers, toy pocketknife, and a whistle. My 9 year old has stuff like that, plus her pocket knife, a little flashlight, a safety pin, sometimes a little fire starter necklace, a little notebook and pen, etc. I like teaching them to start thinking critically about what might be helpful for themselves and others, even if their effectiveness is still kid-level. 😂 Always open to cool ideas for the kids to rotate into their packs! They are always so excited to be able to help, even if it is just giving a kid at Sunday School a band aid.

I am proud to carry my mother-in-law's favorite pocket knife. She grew up on a homestead in SW Wyoming, hauled water from a spring until they moved into a house with indoor plumbing when she was 13. She raised bum lambs every spring until she died, was an accomplished horsewoman, could fix fence, milk cows, hunt, fish, and smell bullshit from a mile away. I would never want to be the person trying to sell her a horse, but would trust any horse she was willing to pay good money for.

If you like zippos try looking at the Japanese import market. The Japanese still smoke like chimneys. An they love zippos. So they get some very high-end stuff made by zippo for the Japanese market only. An you can buy and import it back. We're talking lots of engraving and embossing, as well as sterling silver options. Options that range from nerdy anime and video game themed stuff to super classy and classic designs.

How about a ladies Carry, particularly in her purse, such as, often used things that aren't make-up, notebooks etc... and a focus on purses that may be more EDC type carry than a regular purse. I would love to see Maxpedition come out with a versatile purse with all of the organization as their other packs, with top handles, and a strap so it can be used as a fanny/but pack! So you can go from using a purse right to bug out/get home in an emergency while in town! I am 5' tall and try to carry in a normal purse, while having things for emergencies. I think Maxpedition would make for a great long term everyday purse. Camo pink would be nice! People seldomly talk about a woman's carry options.

A travel carry that one can take through checkpoints. In the alternative, a keychain carry, i.e. what little essentials one carries with them on their keychain. At least in my case they outnumber my 3 keys. LOL. An example, a Model H diamond hone by Eze-Lap carried in a sealed end piece of tubular nylon. Any of these might be supplemented by what one carries in their Dopp or toiletries kit.
