I try to keep most of my knife purchases under 100 bucks, but that anv in magnacut scares my wallet...as an outdoorsman and runner my favorite knife is the Bugout for it's versatility between everyday tasks and those activities. The anv seems like a very similar option.

You know what they say about great minds…I grabbed a MAC2 3.5 as well right after a Rosie. I love the trout scales and have them for my Atom as well. I also grabbed an Abyss from Acrane. I went to look at the Crawler and left with the Abyss. The prototypes they had got me very excited especially for the Preytheon. I think they are flying under a lot of peoples radar. It was great to see you again this year and can’t wait for next year!

Hey Taylor I was watching you blade show video from last year and heard you mention you want a fitness tracker but miss your analog watches. I encourage you to look into the Withings hybrid smart watches. It has an analog dial with a tiny screen that shows notifications, steps, sleep all the other general fitness stuff and the battery lasts literally a month. Ive had the Steel HR for like 3 years now and love it. I work in an office so I wanted the look of a nicer analog watch over a fitbit and the battery life is what completely sold me. Not sure if you found something to fit your needs yet or if youre still looking but I would definitely check them out.

Ok, if you are going to EDC a fixie, they combo very well with a micro multi tool. My fixie goes with a gerber dime, which has a tiny little thin scalpel sized blade, for tiny fine cuts and my Fixie is a tank for the opposite. Since you demand a slip style sheath, find a leather crafter and make a slip for every fixie you have.

Great video, I especially liked the T KELL knives, do you think you could do a more in depth review of each...those are some fine blades and a great company.

I got sent to Las Vegas 6 times during my USAF career. I never was lucky enough to get there during Shot Show, Blade Show (which I just heard of) or Sema. I seriously doubt I would have actually been able to attend any of them, but I always wanted to. Could you imagine if Blade Show gave out goody bags, like they hive out at huge celebrity events/ award shows?! Also, have you ever thought about EDC from a different perspective? I’ve seen your pocket check videos and you see a lot of the same categories of items. A fire starting option, a light, a multi tool, at least a pocket knife(most of the time also a neck knife and belt knife), cordage, tape, writing utensil, lock picking tool, and a pry bar keychain. You don’t show the firearms from the handful of videos I’ve seen so far. I have to look at everything slightly different. See, my EDC isn’t about being lost in the woods or camping sort of stuff. Me, I look at the things I know for sure I’ll need in a trip outside my home and take the fewest amount of things. Because weight is pain. The amount of things I keep on me have to fit in my front 2 pockets. I am looking into a sling bag to allow me to carry more, I just haven’t found one I like just yet. The things that would go in that would be things that could make my life easier in one way or another. I tried making a very small pouch and attaching it to my cane but the weight of it through off my gate enough to be considered a possible fall hazard. If I could make something that would really help the most, it would be a very thin legged tripod seat. I know they’ve made some for a century now but never ultralight or hidden, which is seen by others as a novelty and the person using it put in a category with lazy or similar. Even when I’m using my wheelchair I get put in those categories. One of my meds caused me to gain weight rapidly and I haven’t been able to find a replacement for that medication. But if we are in a place like a mall, that for some reason thinks carpet is a good thing, my wife has to help me because it feels like I’m trying to pull myself through soft ground and causes added pain from the sort of effort I have to put into going anywhere , I get dirty looks and people actually will address my wife instead of me, even if I’m the one that asked the questions…. All that to ask if you have ever thought of EDC from an injured already starting point? Mine is lower spine injuries that restrict movement and stability. My #1 is paracord and D rings.

You can also get cordage for tents, etc. that have reflective material as a part of the cord from Nite Ize. It's great for not tripping over guy lines on tents. It's a little thinner gauge than paracord, and is green in color. Shines brilliantly under light at night.

The Mac2 3.5 is pretty awesome. I think I like my 3 inch better though. They are both awesome but the 3 inch never hurt my thumb lol. That 3.5 took me a while to figure out where to put my thumb on that stud to get it to open. Its broken in some now so its not so brutal but I have one with the frag pattern and green ano with Magnacut I got from McNees back in April when I was at my other house in Alabama then recently I got one of the TAD edition 3.0 in bronze with the topo and the fullers on the ti like TAD does. That thing is awesome.
