Brilliant! I just really comes down to living a simple life. After a year and a half of being stationed on Okinawa from October 1971 until May 1973, I got to experience a culture I never experienced before. I was a snot knows 19 year-old GI . Well, not really understanding the Okinawan diet some 50+ years ago. I now appreciate the fact that it is in fact it’s simplicity of simple food, nourishing food with vitamins, no pesticides and lots of fiber and again very low protein as mentioned in the article. A little bit of fish, a little bit of pork unlike the giant 5 pound steaks that they have in Texas on route 66 and they give you a free meal if you can eat the whole 5 pound steak. I have a low tolerance to processing meat just the way my gut works, and if I had to eat a giant steak or prima prime rib, it would take me a long time to pass it, and I would need to chew a very large dose of fiber or something to help pass it through my colon. I just cannot understand how people can eat that much meat.

Good air quality and nature around you helps alot. Plants have the cure for everything, we just have to find it. Ancient civilizations knew all about it and it was all lost to time and wars and erasing civilizations from history.

19:25 It's not high fat foods, it's food that is loaded with carbs and seed oils like the fast food you used as examples. Your body needs fat and salt. Eat meat, eggs, butter, fat and fruit to stay healthy.

Well that goes against all the studies (and there are a lot of them) that says a mainly plant based diet is the best diet. Not a diet full of meat, fat and salt. But you keep on increasing your cholesterol to unhealthy levels and I pity your colon having to deal with a diet high in meat consumption.

@@whitneyanders5945 You've been brainwashed. 'Studies' are paid for by the people that want a certain result. There is no such thing as high cholesterol, maybe someday you'll wake up, but whatever...you sound vaccinated.

@@whitneyanders5945 They tend to leave out that these blue zone areas do eat animal products. They just don't eat tons of them. But they do eat them. Also, cholesterol is not bad, and dietary cholesterol doesn't effect your blood cholesterol. That was flawed bad science and there is plenty of new science showing so. In fact, low cholesterol, esp the good kind is very dangerous and most people who have suffered heart attacks have cholesterol levels within the normal to low range. It's always fun to see our knowledge evolving

The population of Japan is falling and falling. The elderly outnumber the tax payers. There is something seriously wrong when Japanese females rush to marry whilst they work abroad. I've spoken to many Japanese females of marrying age working away from Japan, who say most men of marrying age in Japan just don't want to marry. They prefer to work, drink, sing karaoke or "marry" a female cartoon character. Seriously.
