Not just there in Africa. Here in South America too. Many of the countries here suffer heavely from coroption. I my self am from a sout american country called suriname. The country is a mix from many east asian cultures with the majority of African heritage. Corroption runs rampat here, altho oir infrastructure and economy is not that bad compared to ginuae, but still.

As South African I know that poor road infrastructure contributes to the isolation and marginalization of African countries, exacerbating socio-economic disparities. In addition to the dire state of roads, the lack of access to clean tap water remains a persistent challenge in many rural areas in our continent. I'm grateful that South Africa has a good core infrastructure network such as a transport system, power, communications network, sewage and water.

I wish there was a way to donate directly to the people on a personal level and make an individual's life easier. It’s so frustrating seeing the father and his sons struggling with that mud, but I think if they make the extreme effort of getting a 4x4 truck, putting better tires with off-road thread on the rear or at least a winch cable, the problems will be way less, I think they can afford one of those solutions with the hard work they make, thanks for sharing this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can remember when I was like 4 to 6 or 7 years old when the city or county jails had prisoner work crews on the side of the roads digging ditches or cleaning them out of garbage and brush if they became overgrown. No different than the garbage clean up crews we have now but the work was much more laborious. They didn't have heavy equipment, they had picks and shovels and wheelbarrows if needed. They would throw what they dug out into the river or dispose of it however was deemed appropriate for the conditions they were working in. Work was on a regular schedule and traffic was not impeded. My point is, it's taken time and sometimes back breaking work for anyone to say "we" have it easy now, no matter who was doing the work. I haven't watched this video but the first thing I saw was a mud pit trying to be a road and not only no ditches, but the mud piled up on the sides to help keep all the water in the mud pit. Even these countries could figure out a way to make more lasting improvements. One step at a time and of course things get better. The ditches were dug and cleaned out because of flood prone areas on a busy back road.

I was born and raised in the interiors of this country, My dad sold all his cattles that he inherited from his father to send me to another country to go to school. Upon graduating from high school in 2016 I returned to help him run his shop since he was battling cancer but due to political instability and my participation in protests has led me to seek life outside of Guinea fearing frivolous charges and persecution from the Junta. Sadly I lost my dad 4 months ago to cancer. I hope to return one day as a medical doctor. Guinea is very wealthy but it lacks patriotic leaders. My neighbor a politician purchased 3 2020 range rovers and 2 nissan patrol vehicles at once and stores them in his villa that he visit only once or twice a month, He is so wealthy that I believe he forgets that those vehicles exist at the same time we were struggling to pay for my dad's chemotherapy which drained our shop. That was my motivation to join the FNDC and wage war on corrupt politicians.
