I don’t mind people eating their traditional foods or hunting for their meat. I’m Australian and there is certain food only Aboriginal people can hunt, such as Sea Turtles- some are threatened, others endangered. My opinion is that it’s important to protect any animal from overhunting but there are certain circumstances where traditional owners of the land can do it in a manner that doesn’t create problems for a species. (As long as you’re taught correctly). Knowing the time and place is important and only taking what you need should be a priority. I completely understand some people need to earn a living but if you take too much, you’re only robbing your descendants of your people’s knowledge and traditions. Plus a whole species of animal is robbed of its place on this Earth…

So happy Sonny bought the Pangolin only to set it free!!! (I wasn't going to watch thinking Sonny was going to have it killed, drink its raw blood, and eat its organs.) It has been amazing watching animals being saved and loved (instead of killed) for our entertainment on Sonny's channel!!! Please keep up the good work!

Just visited Taipei Zoo and read so much info about pangolin. This is sad to know they are being slaughtered in Ghana when all the 8 species of Pangolin are threatened with extinction already. 💔

To me bush meat is nothing weird. Then again I live in South Africa and eating game meat is pretty normal for most people not living in the cities. Regulated or protected species should however be respected.

Same here. I'm an avid hunter and as such have a love and respect for our native species. I'd hate to see Africa's beautiful and unique animals go the way of the dodo, and the passenger pigeon, and the Tasmanian tiger...

I am originally from Johannesburg in South Africa and Antelope is not regarded as bush meat there. It is the same as deer etc ie game meat and is readily available in the major supermarket chains.

There is this notion that cooked fresh meat is nauseating on taste among Ghanaians. So spicing it well with pepper onion and garlic lessens this effect. This is what armed the lady to keep saying.. as it shd be😅. Like hw dare yu cook fresh meat without hot spicing it!

Bush meat is eaten mainly by rural and contryside folks. Their consumption rate is not yet a threat to conservation targets. Eaters constitute probably one percent of population in Ghana.
