Oh fantastic choice!! These two are great mates. That accelerator note is just phenomenal. They are both music royalty here. John is the GOAT because he can sing over 20 genres and is technically perfect and a chameleon - can flip and change his voice at will. The guitarist is Diesel and Jimmys brotherinlaw and is also a singer/songwriter in his own right. Thanks guys - great reaction. John does have an aura about him. ❤😂🎉

Jimmy Barnes is a legend.. in Australia Jimmy and John are considered our best musicians Diesel who played the guitar in this is a musician in his own right, he is Jimmy Barnes brother in law but he is a great singer as well If you guys get a chance you should listen to Jimmy Barnes as a solo artist as well as with his band cold chisel Jimmy singing “a change is gonna come” is great plus cold chisel singing “wild thing” just remember in cold chisel there are two singers Jimmy Barnes and Ian moss. Cold chisel are considered Australia’s best band, even ahead of AC/DC and INXS.

John and Jimmy were great friends. Jimmy is still preforming and recording at 67 years old and still sounds as good today. I recommend you react to 'Stone Cold' with Jimmy and Jo Bonamassa on guitar. Fantastic.

Thanks guys, that was a treat. Both John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes are bona fide GOATS - That Singer Reacts puts both of them in his Top 4 singers of all time, right to this very day! I'm 72 and feel privileged to have witnessed first hand the evolution at breakneck speed of music in my lifetime. It continues to evolve and I try to keep up, and the thing that stands out to me is that even the most technologically original music has its synthesis in the past. No doubt you're observing this yourselves as you listen to music from the 90's all the way back to the 50's (even earlier if you recognise the profound influence early Blues and Jazz has on all our music to this day). While John can no longer sing because he's had radical surgery for mouth cancer, Jimmy still tours. Like John, Jimmy has recorded with some of the world's greats, including Tina Turner and GOAT guitarist Joe Bonamassa. All three of these artists are brilliant and they all have a huge following in Australia. You will want to see many more of their brilliant performances. I know someone will come on here and tell you much more detail about these three and send you in the right direction of fantastic performances. I do know that you should always listen to live performances. The studio versions are good, but these guys love their audiences and shine so bright in front of them. You'll see what I mean, the more you travel down this path.

🎉🎉🎉 perhaps check out When Something is wrong with my Baby, Cold Chisel version from 1982, Rockapalast Germany, from your channel. Cold Chisel is Jimmy’s band. He was on a teenager when he became their lead singer in 1973. They disbanded in 1983, but have reformed many times. I saw them in October. 2024 and am still on a high from their performance. The band was absolutely amazing.

I get such a thrill when a new reaction to John pops up. There are good singers, there are great singers, and then towering above them all, there is the GOAT aka John Farnham. I've been following him and listening to him nearly every day since I was about 14 years old, which was 57 years ago, and I'll continue listening to him every day until my last day. His music has been the backdrop to my life. I'd love for you to react to John singing 'WHEN THE WAR IS OVER' live from the Whispering Jack concert.

This song is a remake of the 1967? Sam and Dave hit. Jimmy recorded an album of soul classic records around 1991 called Soul Deep. This is the first single from that album. The guitarist who joins in singing is Johnny Diesel, who is Jimmy's brother in law, in real life.

Great song and outstanding performance by all here. Jimmy and John have both had great and very long careers with a lot of incredible music produced over many genres. John especially I think is the greatest and most versatile male vocalist of all time, he can sing anything, any genre including opera and is an outstanding performer also, he totally involves all band members and the audience and has so much fun and just loves being there on stage. John is best viewed and listened to live, forget studio, he is better than studio quality live with over 50 years of performing there is so much great music to discover.

Great singers do great duets- Jimmy & Tina Turner, Farnham & Olivia Newton-John are just starts for these two. I’d Die To Be With You Tonight with Barnes and Johnny Diesel and the other Barnes tracks already suggested esp. Stone Cold with Bonamassa and Cold Chisel 2003 Ringside Bow River and if you want an unplugged version of Jimmy try Flesh and Wood - it’s a scrappy put together on a whimsy thing but I like it because of that. Farnham does his best with an orchestra and a big arena - his voice wants an orchestra and they go toe to toe. Jimmy was wild with Cold Chisel, they still play together on occasion, but I really like the newer old Jimmy, in an intimate setting.
