The whole show was musically arranged by John's close friend and colleague DAVID HIRSCHFELDER ( the pianist/keyboard guy). He is a serious composer. He wrote the musical score for the movie: ELIZABETH that starred CATE BLANCHETT.

John can sing anything. Check out his Ballard's, they will make you cry with the purity of his voice. I recommend Burn for You from the Chain Reaction tour. He co-wrote this song about being away from loved ones while touring. Besides being a phenomenal vocalist he is also a great song writer. And on top of all this, he is one of the kindest people you could ever hope to meet.

Even after following his career for over 50 years he still has that affect on me. I've heard every song he has ever sung many many times, live at concerts, on the radio, broadcasts on TV, studio recordings on albums not to mention all of reaction videos on You Tube and I still get excited every time I hear Farnsey sing. Just makes my heart sing. Crazy hey.. Having known how good he is for all these years, I now get a huge kick out of watching KZbin reactors discover him and fall under his spell as well. 😊😂😅 Enjoy the ride. Everyone was enjoying themselves... the band , the Orchestra , the Vocalists, the audience & John himself. If this was the third encore, I'd love some of his energy 😊. If you liked this, you'd like his version of Led Zeppelin's Blackdog (audio only). John is the consummate showman and his charismatic, magnetic energy is amazing. He is pure joy ! He sings in over 20 genres so there are plenty of styles to pick from. He has a big, gymnastic vocal range with which to do so. The USA did not hear much of John because the record companies there didn't know the how and where and who to pitch him to because he is sooo versatile. Also, after touring abroad for a while he decided that he wanted to stay home in Australia with his family and friends. I love the 'take me to church' a cappela version of Stevie Wonder's, ' Love's In Need', that the whole band sings. It is beautiful ! A number of John's songs have a message of greater good for the world and that is true, especially for the USA in their worrisome, negative and dark political times. ( John's song, 'You're The Voice', was used for a campaign advertisement for Kamala Harris. John is known as ' The Voice' here in Australia.) ALWAYS see and hear John LIVE and in concert where his Soul shines.

John Farnham is my favourite entertainer (not just a singer!). He goes the extra distance to give it his all and then some. Earlier this year I discovered a young KZbin singer called Dan Vasc. Dan is extremely versatile, puts his soul into entertaining and appears to be just a great guy (just like John!) Dan has over a million followers who will all tell you to dive head first down the rabbit hole! Everything from Toss a Coin to your Witcher, l’ll make a man out of you, Mirror - Mirror, My Heart will go On, to Amazing Grace and nothing will disappoint you!!!! Now my favourite play list is of John and Dan - never get tired of listening to it.

You said it, he's a showman. I was privileged to attend many of his shows. What you don't get to see is the banter in between songs. He was hilarious, and naughty, telling awful jokes about his mother-in-law (who he actually loved dearly). It was so natural to him that he could have been a comedian. You should try to find some of his TV interviews, he is so funny.

“A long way to the top” is a curious choice to react to. It’s also difficult to chose which version is better, because as incredible as Farnsy’s voice is, Brian Johnson’s voice is so unique, how do you chose? A couple of songs I’d recommend are “Reasons”, “Age of Reason”, “Pressure Down” or “When the War is Over”, but first, and I don’t think you’ve heard this yet, check out Farnsy and Barnsy (ie. John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes) singing “When something is wrong with my baby”. Check out the one on GlenSuperDude’s channel with additional guitar and vocals by Diesel (Barnsy’s brother in law and a brilliant musician in his own right)

John Farnham is actually quite a funny bloke, actually he's a true blue fair dinkum Larkin (you will need to google that). He gets on great with his Mother in Law, but he absolutely loves taking the Piss out of her too, and the Host Ray Martin, sets him each and every time. He's down to earth, with no tickets on himself (ie not a Diva). And thats why us Aussies love him so much. Despite how well he's done, he's never become a "tall poppy" (you will need to google that one too). Australians, basically detest tall poppies ie those with an over inflated ego, and we WILL cut them down to size. But Farnsy has been immune, simply because he is a genuinely nice bloke. This interview is a later one after his initial success with Your The Voice, but I chose it because he is clearer about what his true relationship with his Mother in Law is like. And btw, if you haven't been told yet, he started of working as a Plumber (as that gets referenced). kzbin.info/www/bejne/o32beXaZjp1nnrMsi=n5wCOjHtmPp2JToz
