Twice were waaaay more poppier in their earlier years lol it wasn’t until 2019 that their sound became more mature also the girl with the sister in itzy is in iz*one, not twice. but twice is itzy’s sister group, as in they’re under the same label (jyp entertainment)

This song has a much deeper meaning than it seems (also wonder did you turn on the English captions? most of Twice's songs have very meaningful / deep lyrics.). It was written by JYP after conversation with them on their struggles as kpop idols. I usually dont turn on captions as sometimes they are distracting to the video/song.... I usually just go with the song means whatever it makes me feel when i listen to it... thinkin of it that way for me takes away the language barrier

@@BestFriendsReact You can try checking the lyrics after first listen, for some songs, it makes lots of difference, especially those Twice B-sides which the members wrote.

@@dubu007 Thats fair, but i also think the lyrics wont apply to me, so it will create a disconnect... If i just go based on feelings i have a personal connection even if the lyrics dont apply to me... thats what worries me about reading lyric translations. I could be wrong, thats just how i felt going through the Japanese music scene, i would love a song, then read the lyrics and be like "oh.. ok thats not what i felt".... and then that spark for that song was lost...... sorry for rambling, idk if any of this makes any sense lol

I know accepting the girly stuff is hard at first but it is because of the countries regulations against being to risky till they're of age so we understand and go with it for a good reason. So we protect our maknae's hardcore that's why they get away with so much those little monsters😏

This is actually not very poppy for me. This is more EDM, upbeat, but with sad undertones. Their music before is way more happy/cheerful and poppy than this song if you go back to the previous TWICE. Most of their music before is bubblegum but this one is electronic dance music with synth and hip-hop fusion. Their sound evolved, this is more elegant and mature TWICE.

It is feel-good until you see the lyrics. This is targeted especially at Mina's anxiety during that time. She is absent in all live performances of this song. The overall meaning of it, feeling special is not always about having a special someone but rather the nine girls actually make themselves feel special because they are always there for each other even the tought times (e. g. in Mina's case). The moody undertones are spread throughout the MV. Them finding one another and being trapped inside and their melancholic faces as they sing their lines. A lot of EDM music is bouncy and makes you dance because of the beat but not necessarily make you cheerful because something about their melody or chord progression suggests that it is sad.

@@archive2500 the comments are my favorite part of the whole youtube experience, we started the channel to talk to people about music and find new music along the way. Ive grown to be have a 100% Mina bias, so its sad to think about her having anxiety about anything she does. I do like that she doesnt act like everyone else and is a lil introverted, makes it all that much more fun watching her come out of her shell. Twice has sincerely surprised me on how much and how fast you start to care about them, and proud of them for their successes
