The opening line “you took my sadness out of complex at the mariners apartment complex” is actually in reference to a 2014 interview Lana did at the Mariners Apartment Complex where she said “i wish i was dead already” and then it made headlines and was taken out of context and the whole media was talking about it and Lana tweeted about it and about regretting ever doing the interview

I believe that line is actually from an memory she had with an ex boyfriend. As they walked by the Mariner’s Apartment Complex, her ex boyfriend told her that he felt they were attracted to each other because they were both equally sad/depressed, but she clarified to him that she wasn’t sad and that she was actually happy/content at that point in time. (I read about it a while back but it was something along those lines)

Finally unblocked! Love this track so much. This album is such a fucking masterpiece. After the videography journey I recommend listening to the full body that is NFR. Not per sé for the channel, but to do yourself a favour... It’s the most critically acclaimed album of 2019 for reason. 💦

Seriously can't wait. Venice Bitch is my #1 lana song. Video was underwhelming yet fitting in a way. I even edited together a VB video lol

I really loved the song, but I didn't like the video, so I agree... video was underwhelming at best imo.. but I consider videos a bonus, the music is the real entree

Fun fact: In mariners Apartment complex says: "You lose your way just take my hand" that's the reference for her cover album where she is standing her hand

I just noticed your NASA T shirt…. It’s really cool. PS her trancey songs are mostly from Honeymoon album because it was when she was riding the high of being famous. Now she traded her lust in for life and found her voice. Her latest album showed that. A lot of her story telling and clear.

We considered that when starting the channel, but it cuts down casual conversation between us, and I have a really good stereo system hooked up to my computer with noise cancelling from my mic... I appreciate the critique, if you think of anything else please let us know, there is always room for improvement

Wth.. No. Lana Del Rey is far from country. She is in the category of Alanis Morisette, Billie Eilish, Fiona Apple, all those great female pop rock artists that you are not deep into kor probably related nor familiarize with. I'm and hip hop and metal head and yet the 80's and 90's were my hero genre. They don't play gold music like this today noore. Today it's all about who's better than who, twirking and all of that garbage. But 𝗡𝗢, her vibe in this track does 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗 𝗔𝗡𝗬𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘 𝗗𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗬.... 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗔 𝗣𝗜𝗘𝗖𝗘, 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗘.

It's cool to differ in opinion, I think her voice sounded a lot like dolly in parts, and I mean that as a compliment, dolly was a great singer
