Hi, I'm late by a couple of years, but as a fellow mystique fan I wanted to maybe idk clarify a little (I have a lot of free time) As Jinkx said, originally Mystique could only shapeshift into other humans/animals and change her voice but not change her overall body mass or copy the person's power. She's been through several extreme body alterations (detox?) throughout the series via radiation, resurrection, etc. All which have given her the ability to alter her body mass to the XTREME! like adding limbs, moving organs around to save her own life, shrinking to the size of a child or even small animal, and even making harden her body like body armor. In conclusion, Mystique is pretty awesome and thanks for coming to my TED Talk!
