All these hateful but ignorant comments. First of all, these "reasons" were the typical excuses written by the idol's bosses. It's not the real reason at all. Uji left JYP as a trainee because she wasn't going to get a debut and joined first. Then helped recruit hani haeryung and junghwa who were also JYP trainees that didn't make it. Hyeyeon was a trainee of the company originally and Shinsadong tiger found and casted LE. Their debut wasn't successful as they wanted and the group failed then Shinsadong tiger separated from the company. Half of them stayed with the company while the other half left with shinsadong tiger. Simple as that, they were contracted differently so they had to separate and follow their boss. Idols that just debut have contracts to their management company, in kpop, contract terminations are usually and almost always unilaterally coming from the company. If idols want to terminate a contract, well, you already know.

You guys wanna know the real reason? It’s because the company EXID was under was basically a joint company made by two companies. After the two companies started having beef with each other, the decided to split up, and one company took half of EXID and the other took the other half. The company that kept EXID stayed as EXID and added in Hyerin and their vocal coach Solji, and the the company that took the other three girls added Dahyun and made BESTie. That’s the tea I’ve heard when this was the hot topic of 2012-2013

I thought that exid was a group under two agencies that were planning to combine (that's why some had a contract in one company and some in the other, depends on who discovered them) and when the planned merge didn't work each company left with their girls of the original exid. Since yedang ent. was the bigger company and had the rights on the name "exid" they kept the name and added 2 to the group (best thing that ever happened to me) and the other company adopted the name BESTie and added 1 more member.

Yuji has one of the best voices, imo, in kpop. I would love to hear her with solji and hyerin...what a power trio that would be. To think exid has/had that much talent at lead vocals is amazing. Didn't know anything about exid til a month ago when I heard whoz that girl. Amazing amazing song and both the original group and solji group versions are absolutely amazing. my guess with all the issues of marketing and company dynamics, EXID primarily needed stability and SOLJI was a team builder and leader vocal trainer whereas UJI was not a leader and is not now at BESTie - both are great singers. EXID initially was in trouble UJI left and SOLJI was what they needed. No animosity to anyone, was a matter of "fit."

Three were with one company and the other three were with another company. Some time later in their career, the two companies decided to split up and took the three member with them each. FIGHTFANNERD9 EXID had passed the worst time with 5 members, they are Solji, LE, Hani, Hyelin and Junghwa so they are the only people who deserve the success. Idk what do you mean wanting EXID and BESTie to become one gruop but it's quite rude to EXID. If BESTie wants to become as famous as EXID, just try as hard as EXID did.
