Aww Diane, I know this is a few months old, but this video just made me smile from ear to ear! I grew up in the Malmo- Lund area and went to “gymnasiet” in Lund, but have lived in the UK for nearly 30 years, so this brought back so many memories of my student days.

Cold steeped tea is wonderful, clear, and fresher tasting. Put tea in cold water and put in refrigerator and allow to steep several hours. It uses more tea but is very refreshing!

How lovely to see you all and what a huggley trip! I'll have to admit to being very very envious of your train travel. I could look out those windows for hours. Today my kids and I went to what we call a tag or estate sale. This one was in the home of a person who was an interior decorator for our State Department. Items came from around the world. I got a bolt of fabric that cost next to nothing that will make a beautiful, long tablecloth with leftover for cushion covers.

When I'm asked how my weekend was, do you mind if I say that I visited the lovely town of Lund?! Love these sojourns with you and your besties. And finally I understand how you get to Sweden from Copenhagen (I kept meaning to look it up). You live in, and visit, a part of the world that is held up in example for its many positive aspects. And funny that the one thing you bought in that lovely first store was a scrubby cloth from here in Canada! Must go - have guests coming for dinner and I have to, um... Enjoy my day 😄 Thanks to your inspiration I now live in what I call a "self-cleaning home!" Goooo us 🤩

So nice to see Lund again! I was an exchange student (Univ of California) at Lund Univ many years ago and this video brought back sweet memories of my time there. I am a new sub to your channel as I now live in Japan and see many similarities to Scandinavia when it comes to design and lifestyle. I enjoyed seeing what you had for lunch and having a bit of a tour of Lund and the countryside. I had a laugh out loud when you said to Vibeca that the apron she was looking at looked dirty. I purchased the exact same apron because I like the colour but now that I have it home and wear it I am always saying to myself that it looks dirty rather than crisp and fresh which is what I wanted. Too bad I didn't think like you do and save myself the money though at least it was a good price since I only ever buy on "rea". You have a very good eye. I loved all the pottery in that shop you were at. So many pretty patterns on the tea cups and serving items.

Diane, thank you so much for posting this video. I have always dreamed of traveling in Europe. I think my hometown in the USA has a similar climate. I really enjoyed seeing the hollyhocks. Can you tell me a little about traveling by train? Is it faster than driving from Copenhagen to Lund? Do you have to go through customs and show a passport? Does that take a long time? Do you use a Euro Rail pass?

Hi Mary! I use Google to convert prices...very simple. Just type in, say, "what is 300 Swedish crowns in USD" and it will give you the answer.
