Incredibly useful video - I just got this processor for Christmas and it's discontinued so no videos on Cuisinart's website. The manual showed the parts but not how to put them together and nothing at all about how to operate the processor - just what each blade could do and some recipes. Thanks you SO MUCH for telling me everything I needed to know to even get started with my new processor! I'm so excited now! :)
@janetmoyer86033 жыл бұрын
This video was more helpful than the manual in showing how to use this device. I just got this processor today, and I didn't have the patience to read the entire instruction manual, but as far as I can tell the manual doesn't tell how to do things like assemble the stem with the blades. The pieces take a little more muscle to assemble than my 35 year old "Regal" food processor especially since I'm being super careful because, like it's new and I don't want to break it. I guess that means it's a safer tool. It's certainly a lot quieter.

I absolutely love what this food processor does! To top it all off I love the fact that the motor is quiet and Low pitched. A lot of food processors out there that I have seen have Motors that sound absolutely terrible! The Cuisinart 14 cup food processor is the bee's knees because it does not bother my ears one bit. This is one of the best videos I have seen so far with this favorite food processor of mine, because the demo was very simple and I love the fact that this food processor does not bother me and is a time-saver. The only drawback about it, is that I don't have enough kitchen space to have the exact same kind of food processor that I would like to own, which is this particular Device. I hope that when I do get this particular kind of food processor, that it will not bother me while using it, because I do have sensitive hearing due to my eyesight. Thank you for having this video available.

Actually, the small pusher has a small hole in the bottom that is specifically for adding liquids in an even stream mid process. This is easier, and less messy, when adding liquids, especially to flour and other light, powdery ingredients. I've had this processor a while now and like it's powerful motor. We're only a two person household, so only use large amounts of food occasionally, however I find even small amounts of food are processed as evenly as larger amounts. Hardly ever bother with my 3 cup mini processor anymore.

My secret Hummus recipe, and for the best Hummus taste ever do the following. Place the cooked garbanzo beans ( 1 pound) in the food processor. Add salt to your taste and add a teaspoon of Cumin for each pound of cooked Garbanzo beans, then add 2 "teeth " of peeled garlic. Run the machine until the Hummus is extremely smooth.After that, add 4 tablespoons of Tahini sauce to the mixture and run the machine again until all mixed well. Take out all the contents and spread them using a spatula evenly in a flat plate. For decoration , get a pinch of cooked garbanzo beans and place them in the middle of the Hummus . Take another pinch and separate it into 4 equal parts . You can place those equally on the hummus at edge of the plate. Get some chopped parsley and sprinkle ( very little ) on the garbanzo beans. Hummus does not taste good without extra virgin Olive Oil. In the middle East, in Jordan, some high end restaurants frie some pine nuts in Olive Oil and then spread them on the Hummus for extra price ( NOT CHEAP ) but delicious and high in Vitamin K2.( Vitamin K2 is important in preventing the cholesterol from sticking to the arteries.) Good appetite!

Now you need to do a video of using all the accessory blades. I have a full box of 9 blades + the plastic dough blade for the DLC-7 Unit. My dad bought the DLC-7 for my mother when I was 16 years old. I'm now 62. What does that tell you about the quality of this machine? I did however have to buy this new 14 cup unit because I broke the "Safety Prong" on the back of the work bowl and because of it being so old, the work bowl could not be replaced. But all the blades and other fittings still work with the new one. I'm a "Happy Camper".. Cuisinart!!! You guys rock!!!

Nice demo! I read a few reviews that say the spindle which the blades attach to and which is turned by the motor, can crack, rendering this machine useless. But, the majority give this FP stellar reviews. Hopefully , if necessary, CA’s customer service has improved! I’ve had some bad experiences with them, but that doesn’t mean all of their appliances are junk. I do like their hand held whipping blender. Just stay away from their grind n brew coffee maker! The hopper door would unlatch during brewing and I’d wake up to a big mess to clean up!

Now if only Cuisinart would make a bowl/lid assembly that doesn't break every year. They built this very powerful, durable motor unit, and paired it with a bowl that has fragile bits that are easy to break off, rendering the whole thing unusable until you shell out $60 for a replacement. And the price goes up every year.

Nice review, great explanations! I've had experience with 35 years of food processors...the good, the bad, and the ugly. This one is absolutely the best by far: nicely designed, easy to clean, no nasty nooks and crannies (unlike my KitchenAid machine that allowed liquids into the handle and lid, and get mouldy there, almost impossible to clean)---This one has a flow-throw handle that allows the liquid to be cleaned out. Even the spatula was well designed! It's going to live exclusively with and for the food processor. Nice, no-nonsense machine. I'm hoping it's the last one I ever buy. The big question is: can it grate mozarella? I usually chill it hard before I grate. Fingers crossed.

I wish she would have shown how chopped peppers turned out instead of the slicing - I'd be using this for salsa and it would have been nice to see the results of the chopping cycle on peppers

Clear and concise video . Excellent! I just received my processor and was looking at many videos and yours was the best one! Can’t wait to start using mine. Thank you! New Sub! P.S Which one mixes a dough batch better? The food processor , or the Kitchen Aid stand mixer ? Again Thanks!
@bestkitchenreviews Жыл бұрын
Thanks for subscribing! The food processor is faster than the stand mixer in making dough. However, it’s better to use a stand mixer for sticky doughs. Each appliance has it’s use in the kitchen and I generally use the stand mixer for most doughs. Pie dough is the exception and comes together perfectly in this food processor. Hope that helps you 😀
