Many couldn’t appreciate his showman persona, perceiving it as pure arrogance. This rubbed people up the wrong way, especially given his roots growing up in places like Peckham, Hackney and then the Bronx in New York being starkly contrasted by his gentrified dialect and “upper class gentry” sense of fashion. Some felt he was pretending to be something he wasn’t. He argued “being working class is no excuse for not speaking properly”.

I couldn't say who's better. They're all some bad as fighters. Also Michael Watson and Gerald "GMan" M. Could of been in this circle if it wasn't for the tragedies. My favorite was the Gman. I believe he would of been the one to beat. His lose with Nigel Benn was do his brain blood clots. He demonstrated better boxing ability than Benn before he started showing symptoms of brain injuries. I'm not taking nothing against Benn he is a bad ass fighter. Toney sounded punch drunk way before his boxing career was over - his potential fights with Eubank and Benn would have been too close to call. He may sound punchy but he had a very good ring IQ. However, one barometer may be to say a 40-year-old Michael McCallum held him to a draw - on the flip side Toney stopped Michael Nunn in 11 rounds; Nunn would have given both Benn and Eubank nightmares in the ring with his style, which was similar to Herol Graham who they avoided like the plague. Great lead-up to a decent fight. Thanks for uploading.
