He beat Goku in a fight 3 times. 3 TIMES! How many W’s does the man need to accommodate his small man syndrome?

@@assassinsknight Because it wasn't a "real victory" in his mind. In the Saiyan Arc, Vegeta saw him having to resort to using a Power Ball to turn into a Great Ape as a failure, since Goku surpassed him (with Kaioken x3) and later spared him from death when Kuririn was about to kill him. And... well, they don't actually have the rematch until the Boo Arc, where (in the canon version) it's unresolved and Vegeta knocks Goku out to sacrifice himself against Boo. But, between the Saiyan Arc and Boo Arc, Goku surpassed Vegeta again by reaching SS before him; mastering SS before him (and getting his son to surpass him too); and then reaching SS3 but not using it during their battle.

⁠@@assassinsknightLegit the only wins Vegeta had on Goku where they were on equal footing, no tricks or anything, was when SSB Vegeta had Golden Freeza dead to rights and when he won the one-on-one against Goku in their demonstration for Broly which was pretty much this same what if fight with the same restrictions, and that first one got undone because of Whis turning back time to avoid Vegeta’s gloating and Goku came in with the killsteal to save Earth. Otherwise Goku had always beaten everyone who’s beaten Vegeta at his then full strength (Recoome, Freeza, Kid Buu with a lot of help, possibly Hit if Goku hadn’t burned through all his energy so quickly), or in the times when Vegeta beat someone who beat Goku, Goku was handicapped (19 won because of the Heart Virus, and Frost poisoned both Goku and Piccolo).

Honestly this would’ve been an amazing end to dbz if toriyama chose to not do the Buu saga. Vegeta wins, but also learns there’s much work to do.
