Placing your nuts is important. You want to make sure to place your nuts correctly. If you fall on your nuts, it could be very bad. You do not want rope burn on your nuts.

Great video as usual :) would love to see a video about bailing on multipitch trad routes and showcasing different scenarios on how to get back to the ground safely. Where there is no walk off and no slings from previous climbers. Using trees, rocks or leaving gear behind. What type of gear would you prefer to leave behind? What would be your most preferred setup. Is there a setup where no gear needs to be left behind? How do you back it up etc. Having trouble finding good resources for this topic. Sorry for this trad noob question. Love your content!

My better half is so immature. I had to tell her to grow up when you were talking about cracks and swinging nuts and nuts tidy. So I don't suggest you take her along climbing. On the other hand I'm a young 60yr old would would love to try climbing but sadly have very bad knees belonging to Arthur Ritis and he can bloody have them back. But seriously I had a small go at abseiling and chimney ascending back and legs. The thought of getting out of my safety zone appeals greatly. Very much enjoyed your video. Kind regards Malc

If you need any help with the teleporter repair, I have a roll of duct tape, 3 wrenches, and some parts from a 1950's cow milking machine. Give me a ring.

I love how you spend half the video on the rock face, switching hands, dropping nuts adjusting footing, chalking, switching hands, and then all of a sudden you just stand up on the ground now obviously just out of frame... with zero background adjustments and exhale in relief! 😅

Do you plan showing us some weirder gear as well, like ball nuts? I know hexes are pretty straightforward, but did you considered a video about them as well? Kepp it up, thank you for the video!

Love your videos. All the info here was solid and I think its worth watching for beginners but I think its worth pointing out that you should not be learning to place gear that your life will be depending on through a KZbin video so i appreciate your short disclaimer at the end of the video but I think its worth emphasizing again.

Great video! can you do the reverse where you clean up the nuts after finishing the route? Another question, if you climb down to clean a route, how do you do that if you're super tired from the climb?
@bker5376
@bker5376 3 жыл бұрын
Your second normally cleans the route (your belayer). If the leaders having to clean the route its usually because the second couldn't do the climb. In that case the leader will usually rig an anchor and abseil down to clean the gear.

I don’t rock climb or do sports but this is the second video I’m watching apparently called Trad Climbing, I thought the tricam thing looked really cool at first I thought it was used for threading climbing ropes for multiple people lol. Initially I was trying to find out how they put in the rope ties on like Mount Everest. Somehow I got into looking at trad climbing videos. I still don’t know how they put in those rope ties when people climb Everest. I’m my head there just long nails that the climbers hammer into the mountain snow. ^_________^ P.s. nice ass

Rock climbing videos always seem to assume you live on the west coast with granite or similar rocks full of cracks. Not only cracks, but cracks that you put a nut in and know it wont come out, because the rock is solid. Meanwhile people be climbing shale that if you put a nut in a crack and fell on it it would just smash the rock on its way out lol

I hope people watching these videos understand that you are a novice climber before they start taking advice from you. You leave so much crucial information out on most of your videos, it's dangerous. Get some more mileage in before educating mister. First time climbers are watching these videos and think you are a professional. Wonder how many have been hurt or killed thinking they learned something here?
