What a sweet little bird and so feature packed. What more could you ask for in a whoop? BetaFPV sure does know what they are doing and they do it so well. This is the new TopGun for whoops...I feel the need...the need for speed.

I have a feeling that 2019 is going to be the year of the 2S "whoop". I looks perfect for flying around my neighborhood (I don't feel comfortable flying a 3 inch near cars/houses/kids). I was on the verge of building a 2S whoop... then this was announced. I ordered a couple of days ago. It's cheaper and better than what I think I'd have ended up with had I built myself.

10:55 I have been guilty of saying "A whoop that flies like 5 inch" so let me clarify, what I mean. The 75X is still a whoop at heart because it has the nylon ducted frame, but and it is capable of doing most all the acrobatics that are typically associated with a 5" drone. Now obviously I dont think it flies better or even as well as a 5" or even 2" non-ducted micro like the GT-R90, those are a different class all together. The idea is that the 75X and 65X combine the ability to do the 5" acrobatics and racing with most the advantages of a traditional tiny whoop, like the safety and toy-like ability to be able to fly around the neighborhood and/or smaller parks with people around. Having the ducts means even if you crashed into someone hard it would not be a major injury. Once you move to unguarded props, even on a similar sized 2S, you have to take a lot more care how you fly around most areas especially if people could walk into your flight path. Also the 75X is super durable; like most whoops you can crash pick it up (or turtle mode since its brushless) and get right back to flying on 95% of crashes. You crushed the camera mount once but the rest was fine and once that is TPU it should be able to take that hit. In all of our testing no one broke a single 75X frame!! Finally my favorite part about a traditional tiny whoop is that you can fly it almost anywhere anytime! So Between the 75X and the 65X I hope people will be able to find one perfect for flying around where they live so that everyone can have a satisfying FPV experience more often.
@AlbertKimTV
@AlbertKimTV 6 жыл бұрын
Yeah my 5 inch flyers are very discriminating whenever they hear something that isn't 5-inch is talked about like it is a 5-inch. Whatever... Regardless, this is the fastest, most acrobatic whoop I've ever flown. If they want to dispute that, good luck to them!

Yes, well sort of, I am part of the creation/design team for the X series drones. Probably. It was a bit faster than I was expecting. I've gotten used to the speed now after a few flights. If they can replace the canopy and camera mount with something more durable then it will be OK for beginners. The frame itself is very strong.

Super impressive as all the Beta products tend to be. How is it indoors? I would expect it to be a bit too powerful maybe for indoor? I was just actually looking at the snappy or snapper or whatever earlier today. Was wondering how the 75 would feel compared to the 65. The brushed King Kong whoops in 65 and 75 are very different. The 65 feels super nimble while the 75 feels stiff and lethargic.
@AlbertKimTV
@AlbertKimTV 6 жыл бұрын
Don't have the 65X yet. You can fly the 75X indoors if you are skilled enough. I was able to fly it indoors but in a small space you can only fly so fast before you don't have control. Indoors the 75x doesn't look any faster than the Snapper7 if you want to maintain control. I had to fly it outside to show the speed it's capable of.
@Kabab
@Kabab 6 жыл бұрын
@@AlbertKimTV I'm not sure that's a good thing for it to be so fast. The snapper 65 should actual weigh less than a whoop since the motors should weigh less. My biggest concern with all these tiny things are the ESC boards. In the past they would just shutter and dip all over the place. I hope to get one of these things soon but I feel like it really needs the F4.
@Kabab
@Kabab 6 жыл бұрын
@@AlbertKimTV how's the snapper? Good overall performance? Not like speed or anything. Just handling and general abilities
@AlbertKimTV
@AlbertKimTV 6 жыл бұрын
If you're trying to do freestyle acro with the Snapper7 you'll be disappointed. You'll have a better chance with the 75X. The Snapper7 is good for flying indoors and Whoop tracks.... I imagine people have raced with it. The problem with the Snapper7 is the metal ducts which can bend in a hard crash. So people who crash a lot prefer the nylon frames even though they are flexible and more difficult to tune. Overall I think the brushless whoops handle better than the brushed ones.

I’m thinking seriously about this 75X but it’s a tad pricey for the so-so camera performance, the poor quality of the shell and camera mount. Throwing more money at it for 3D printed parts just doesn’t seem sensible. I’ve seen people re-solder the XT30 connector facing forwards and have the XM+ antenna out the back. Somehow mounting the antennas up front, they will be more prone damage when crashing. Otherwise I prefer this design over the Mobula.
