I use these for designer whoops. Great platform for a heavy drone. Dye the frames, extra 3d printed parts, whoop LEDs and these things are hilarious. Anytime a VTX dies on an AIO FC, I turn it into the guts of a meteor75pro. One of mine is black frame, white canopy, white props, black roof rack, and red/blue LEDs. Looks like a police interceptor. One of them I dyed pink, painted, with a yellow star led on the butt like its kirby.

@@xORLOCKx thanks man 🙏 It’s kind of forced spirit up here in Canada 😂 not much we can do when the only times that seem possible to fly are during the week while I’m at work. I got back into the 5” spirit too late this year. Doesn’t help the two bandos that were relatively close to me are no longer with us. Anyways if you find the right spot to fly or can get a decent setup going inside that whoop/micro spirit will get to ya!

A very well done indepth review Thomas I know one of the other big noticeable differences between the Meteor 75 and Air 75 is I believe how the Meteor. 75 whoop frame is actually I think is either 81 or 82mm hench they come bigger motors swinging bigger props then the Air 75 which gives you the extra power and muscle you to get with more powerful maneuvers at least that's what I heard a few people say on videos about the Meteor 75 like @Infinityloops and many others.The indoor and outdoor freestyle you put this Meteor 75 through in this video is one for the history books Thomas👍👍😎😎👍👍
@_tcmoreАй бұрын
Thank you!! Yes the meteor75 Pro frame is big enough to utilize 45mm props rather than the 40mm props on the Air75. 🙏👍

Its a decent quad, but the Air75 is superior in every single way in my opinion. I own both and haven't flown my Meteor75 Pro since receiving the Air75. It doesnt fly as well and has worse flight time. Both ELRS.
@_tcmoreАй бұрын
I also own both (actually own two air75’s). Something I actually enjoy is the extra weight for freestyle. Maybe it’s my flying style but the extra weight gives it a little more fling ability. Definitely has worse flight times but I honestly wouldn’t say it doesn’t fly as well. They both have different characteristics that will appeal to different people. I also live in Canada and the Meteor75 Pro frame and canopy has taken a lot more beating than my Air75 frames. And hands down the ELRS on the meteor75 pro is better than the Air75. I get telemetry lost warnings when I really shouldn’t with the little lite receiver. All that being said thank you for watching and of course no one has the same opinions. I will be happily flying both.
@ZeroVoltFPVАй бұрын
@ admittedly, the canopy on the Air75 is trash. However, I 3D printed a canopy for the Air75 out of TPU that has an added retention bracket for the UFL connector and it is 100% bulletproof now. I’ve bashed it into concrete and metal poles hundreds of times so far and have never broken a frame or canopy. I highly suggest you try a TPU printed canopy. There is a file available online and I made the bottom face 2x as thick within Blender so it has enough rigidity and there is 0 jello in the camera. 👌
@_tcmoreАй бұрын
@ oh I got rid of the canopy after the first session. I break the frames but like I said I’m in Canada and plastic and cold don’t mix.

The 75 pro works great for the first 2 months. After that the big motors become too much for the little 5a board. My motors would desync and fail. The sag was also insanely bad. On brand new folded cell batteries they would sag to 3.5v instantly. That’s just my experience though and if you throw in a 2s aio it should work fine.
@LoganimFPV21 күн бұрын
Oh yeah I also just remembered that if you direct solder it tends to fix the issue.
@_tcmore21 күн бұрын
@@LoganimFPV yes I have heard some having issues with esc’s on this board. I did mention in the video I am weary of them. I think they will be okay with my flight style as I am rarely close to full throttle. Direct soldering would definitely help with the sag but at the same time that would also put more current to the esc’s so unless it gives me an issue plugs will stay for now. I have the newer version on the way to compare. I think the peak amps for the new boards esc’s is higher so it should be safer.
@LoganimFPV21 күн бұрын
@ yeah I definitely fly more aggressively so maybe not flying as fast puts less strain. I do remember though the reason I was on high throttle was because of sag. So it’s kind of a bad feedback loop.
@_tcmore21 күн бұрын
@ yeah I haven’t experienced the sag. Will report back if any issues arise for me. Still flies the same after a month of bashing for me.
@CCC012220 күн бұрын
I have had the 75 pro for a year, well ive had 5 total and 3 boards are still working. I find if i switch the board to a smaller true 75 or a 65 frame, that it ismless likely to have esc problems. Ithink the 1102' are the problem for that boatd as well. Ive swapped a few to newbie drone cockraoch 75mm frames, with 0802's. Less power but less weight, therefore less overall velocity and less sag@LoganimFPV
