I'm not sure if anyone will ever see this comment... but I'm going to leave it here anyway. I've been listening to the original version of "Warrior" for many years now, and I became very emotional while watching this powerful video. The original song got me through severe addiction, mental health problems, a toxic breakup, and a complete financial collapse. I listened to the original back when I had literally nothing. I could barely afford the download price on iTunes, but I purchased it regardless because it was so poignant and meaningful. Nowadays - I have absolutely everything that a young man like me could dream of. I escaped poverty, got sober, had therapy, and have now returned to education and the dating scene. I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to turn my young life around.This song was crucial in that. I'm a lucky man. Beth, if you ever read this - you're a massive gift to this world. It like the Lord is picking what song I should be in listening to it mad I being on a journey with the Lord for 2 years on the road to recovery was in a toxic relationship that left me with tarma confused scared so the Lord is telling me something I'm not sure yet but something about choosing one I cross over to be a Christian and the Lord is guide me me ture to a better way of life to be happy for the first time in my life. The song that came out on the day of my heart attack, the one I was most looking forward to. I can't even remember if I watched it or reviewed it before as that whole day is fuzzy, so here goes. I've been watching it over and over in stunned amazement for the last few days. I love the musical improvements you've made, the introduction of more strings, the cello coming in at the beginning instead of later. I can't tell if you are using more than a cello, like a viola, maybe, or just playing the cello up higher on the fingerboard. The percussion is better. Your voice is so beautiful in this, just flawless. The video is astounding. I've never seen anything like it from you. The production quality, the set designs, the costuming, the makeup. I have never seen anyone who has the complexion to pull off being a redhead, a blonde, and have black hair. Or is it dark brown? It always looks black to me like my sister's hair. Pulling off all those hair colors is incredible. You make an amazing redhead, btw, but I still prefer your black hair. The green and blue eyes were neat, too. I liked the green ones a lot. And those outfits. Five outfits in a video is a ton. I will talk about normal girl outfit last, but outfit 2, the gorgeous green fairy outfit is my absolute favorite of the bunch. The color was perfect for blending into the forest and the appliques on the squirt and the ribbons on the bodice looked like the rushes you were sitting between. I love such attention to detail like that. And yet it would look completely normal as a formal gown. The iridescent wings are gorgeous, too, and again the detail, with the green on the bottom matching the rushes, but the orangey peach color on top matching the seed plumes on the tops of the rushes. The head piece with some of the small branches the color of the red hair carried into continued the theme of joining colors together and of course the greenery of the other branches did as well, pulling in some of the plants behind your left shoulder. The little lights in the head piece made the wings light up. I couldn't tell if you had horns, or the head piece was adorned with a horn to hold it together or if that was a snake, but either way, it looked right. Attention was paid to everything. It just really made the scene unbelievably gorgeous. This woman looks innocent. The slight glimpse of the warrior girl leading into the next set of red and black made you wonder, but it immediately slipped into the next character or persona. Not sure as I still have not read that book, only seen the movie. All the black beading on the outfit made it seem very much like a spider web and made me wonder if she was the sort of person who caught people in a web of deceit. I loved the small red headpiece and the red lips outlined in black and the plain red eyeshadow with very dark lashes. The set seems very simple at first, but then it opens up to reveal golden candle stick with red candles and backlit decanters of either potions or alcohol. The backlighting makes them glow beautifully, especially the ruby red one. This woman seems arrogant, though. Outfit and set 4, the girl with the runes, leather jacket and some kind of very short outfit that I can't really tell what it is, but kind of looks a slip or a nightgown. I love all the ruins inked on your skin, it makes you look like someone who has been magic for a long time. I like the leather jacket, because it means you are tough or you are trying to present yourself as tough. Not sure what the slip represents, maybe woken up in the middle of the night, maybe stripped down to the essence, maybe a sexual being. But tough as nails. She seems confined in a small space, between buildings, but there is a phone in case she needs to call for help. And yet while she seems trapped, she's actually lying in wait to trap someone else. Not helpless, even though she might seem so. I can't see much about the angelic form, it wasn't on long enough, other than a pretty white dress with wings, she's a blonde, has blue really thick glittery eye makeup that makes those blue eyes stand out dramatically. I did notice two pedestals in the background with yellow plumes that matched the eye makeup which I thought was a nice touch. I liked the green background, how it kind of matched the curtains of the real girl's room and the green she saw when she first looked in the mirror. I'm not sure if the angel is innocent or not, though. She had a look about her. Now onto the girl, dressed simply in a normal bedroom decorated with pictures that maybe she drew herself (I love that you used pictures that were sent into you, that was awesome), and that it just seemed like an every day normal room. But as her dream or nightmare went on, the plants started growing across her bed rails and the greenery seemed to take over as the strange an invited her into whatever world it was. I loved that touch as the plants grew more and more. I'm not sure she actually went in, so much as watched from the mirror. At least that's what my brain tells me. But the temptation was there, the danger was there. But she ended up back in bed and noticed the stuff growing, so maybe a waking dream. It's hard to interpret. Or maybe she did go in, because each of these people until she locked up the man and was able to get out, but still ends up in her dream. Then she wakes up of course, and everything is gone, except the angel's feathers. And there she sits, scared to death. As you would of course. It's such a mind twist. But I love it. I love it to pieces. It's amazing and beautiful and the music and singing match it. This was already one of my favorite songs, but now I can't hear it without the imagery. Thank you for the beauty you grace the world with, Beth. You are a wonder.
