She does interviews in exactly the same way as she is on stage: open, honest, focused, vulnerable, dedicated. What an amazing woman and artist.

I have to agree with you her passion for her craft comes thru even in her speaking voice you can hear and feel her honesty and you can tell she feels everything she says completely and totally as you listen to her reply back to the interviewers questions SHE'S THE REAL DEAL 🌹🌹

She is very intelligent, expresses herself very well, as a good grasp of herself, and her condition, sings and composes. Plays different instruments, paints, a renaissance woman. In that respect she reminds of Joni Mitchell. I know she had problems in the past but seems beyond all that now. God Bless you Beth Hart you bring joy to so many with your talents.

I'm 60 now, and been following Beth's music, career. and life since her Star Search days. Like an old friend I've never met, but resonate with in so many ways. She really has bloomed into a warm and beautiful human being, musical talent notwithstanding, and I look forward to growing old with her music AND llife sensibilities 💜👍👏😁

This woman is the only person I know of that's been through exactly the same crap as me. It's because of her I now talk about it all rather than bottle it all up. She has done so much for me. I had the absolute privilege of getting to thank her face to face & spent about 20 mins with her a couple of months ago. We were both gob smacked at how much we have in common. Just over 1 minute of watching that video & I had goose bumps ... again. As a child I LOVED Moonlight Sonata. I felt really drawn to it. It was so sad sounding but made me feel happy for some reason. I used to play my version of it on my Dads' piano with my chubbie little fingers. Sounded naff all like it of course hahaha. I could play it a bit better when I began having lessons at about 9 or ten (I'm 5 years older than Beth). At 14/15 I wrote my own, sort of version of it. I just had to share that. Thank you Beth Hart. Just for being you X

Beth is a survivor. She found her outlet, found her muse and found herself in all of it. "Remove the ego in life and just let it happen." That is true in so many ways.

Beth think of a word that is empowered, makes you feel strong and say it silently when going onstage. You will know when your spine straightens up and you feel tall and strong. That’s what helped me.

I am a fan of many artists and bands, yet the admiration I have for this woman is beyond compare. I could sit here and type all day about the things I love about this woman, but as in the comments below it would be an exercise in repetitiveness. In the interview Beth said "she's afraid to look at the youtube comments because of the negativity so many people have in their comments", from what I see in these comments, it's nothing but LOVE!

Just discovered Beth Heart and LOVE her! Her lyrics are brutally raw but honest just like her interview style. Wish I could go see her live but would rather spend my entertainment money on buying a few of her CD's. Love her voice and have watched many of her concerts on KZbin over the last two days. Hard to believe that I have never heard of her before now. She is AMAZING!

Dearest Beth. Just came across this fantastic interview. Your life, your pain, your music have made you such an incredible woman. Everything you do inspires me - whether it's to be a better person, or just be ok with myself when I'm not such a great person lol. God definitely created you to speak to people, in one way or another, because you have an incredible way of seeing, feeling, growing, saying, playing, writing, composing, singing about just being human, about living, loving, feeling, numbing, fearing, hurting, jumping for joy or jumping off the edge......all of it. Thank you for your fight, your insight and your connection with the world and translating it for rest of us in the most beautiful way. Love & light always!! 💜

I've been following Beth's journey since the 90's; own everything she's released in my collection of music. Beth's lyrics, vocals & piano skills are unmatched. She's underrated & in my opinion the best female vocalist out there. Beth connects emotionally with her music & audience; her raw, genuine feeling & passion comes through in everything she does. Seeing her grow for > 2 decades has been incredibly inspiring. Her music resonates with so many different people because it's so real. Looking forward to seeing her in May. She's phenomenal together with Joe Bonamassa. Beth is my favorite of all live performances & I've been going to concerts & shows since the 70's.

Watching this reminds me of many girls who were just coming into their own in 1973. Relishing in learning and excepting them selves. Free spirits. And here she sets. Grown adult with the spirit and mind set of someone in 1969! What a struggle it must have been to NOT get trodden down by the pressure to conform!. Few and far between are people like her.

Beth to me is a more balanced and smoother Janis Joplinesque singer, that is so phenominal I find myself emotionally connected to the emotion she expresses. She is totally beyond belief, the range of her voice, it is easy to get mesmerized and hypnotized to her. In her raw sensual sexy expression of her beautiful yet tragic soul that has experienced so much life, you can understand it if you have also had those moments. You recognize and are able to connect to her music and passion. ]:)

everything she says is so right, so well known when you write and produce songs, with all the traps and wisdoms of life that apply to all people. This woman has opened her heart and worked so hard and fought so hard; now she is an angel, which brings a warm light to all of us. And yes, even angels is allowed to cry out and also be angry from time to time.

Her tempos do push and pull. I am glad to hear her talk about it in her words. She has always drawn me in with her disruptive timing. You can still really see the roller coaster starting at 10:50. Love the credit given to Rob the producer of War on My Mind. So funny to hear others validate what I said the first time I heard Rub me For Luck... James Bond! Thankful has changed my life. And I hope changes the whole world.

I don't know why people compare Beth to Janis Joplin...smh...That woman doesn't come close to BETH!! I don't think Janis is awesome...I don't think Janis is good to be honest...I think Beth Hart BLOWS Janis away!!!...Janis had a couple of good songs...Bobby McGee and piece of my heart...those are the only songs I really liked...I can honestly say I love almost EVERY song Beth has sang and wrote...she is incredibly talented...she's relatable...she lives her life...sings her pain...she leaves her heart on the stage at every performance...she's compassionate, funny, crazy, loud, shy, lovable and beautiful...she puts all her heart, body, soul, anger and happiness into her songs...you don't just sing a song with Beth...She can make you feel every emotion she has felt or is feeling as you sing along with her...She has a true raw talent...Beth, I love you my bipolar sister...I too; was an addict and bipolar...I relate to almost everything you sing or say...please don't ever change ❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘 You look so healthy...your face is glowing...you're naturally beautiful...inside and out...keep rockin mama❤️❤️❤️✌🏼️🌎
